I like this place. Lots of trees at the camp sites and you don't hear any cars or other stuff other than nature. Very limited camp sites but even on a holiday they are never full. Bathrooms clean. Nice to ride dirt bikes too. I'll be back for sure.
Excellent location for dirt bike and jeep enthusiats who also enjoy camping. Clean bathrooms with toilet paper! The park ranger stopped by and chit chatted, which was really nice. At this time of year the spots that we chose were shaded and not a whole lot of bugs. Which was very good for me! All of the other campers around us were courteous, plus it was cold enough that there were enough empty spots in between that we barely noticed other campers lol The off roading was a blast!!!! Really cannot wait to go back!
Babbling Brook would not stop the entire time I was there. The mockingbird would not stop it's wonderful mockery in the middle of the night breaking the complete silence. It was so quiet you could hear the leaves fall from the old growth oak trees that provided the perfect amount of shade. I didn't see any Modelo bottles dirty diapers or articles of clothing anywhere this site was impressive. The coyotes were not ugly. The cats were curious night prowlers. The plants were vibrant and flowering such a blessing to see the world the way GOD intended. Thanks USFS for taking care of the land of many uses.
Loads of trails everywhere. Take a photo of the map when entering it is easy to get lost.
Awesome little campground, clean bathrooms. Easy access to ohv and jeep trials.
