This objective introduction will detail the campground's environment, services, features, and available promotional information, based on publicly accessible data.
The environment at Wildwood Outdoor Escape is described as surprisingly picturesque, especially given its location surrounded by cornfields. The park itself is carefully manicured with mature trees, offering shade and a pleasant aesthetic. Central to the environment are its two fishing lakes, Willow Lake and Bole's Fishing Hole, which add to the natural charm and recreational appeal. While specific details on the exact size or natural features of these lakes are not extensively provided, their presence enhances the tranquil atmosphere and provides opportunities for water-based activities. The grounds are generally well-kept, with nice white rock roads, contributing to a neat and orderly appearance. Despite being in a rural setting, the campground is designed to provide a cohesive and engaging community feel, with various recreational areas interspersed among the campsites. The overall ambiance is one of relaxation and escape into nature, making it an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.
As a comprehensive offering within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, Wildwood Outdoor Escape provides a variety of services and goods to meet the needs of its diverse clientele. For RV campers, the campground offers a range of hookup options, including full hook-up sites (water, electric, and sewer), water and electric-only sites, and even primitive/no hookup sites. Electrical connections are available in 20, 30, or 50 amperage, accommodating various RV sizes. Many sites are pull-through, making them convenient for larger rigs. For tent campers, primitive sites are available. Beyond traditional camping, Wildwood Outdoor Escape also offers rentals, which are ideal for those who wish to experience the outdoors without the investment in their own equipment; these rentals typically include fire rings and picnic tables. Essential amenities include clean and well-maintained restrooms and shower facilities. While some older reviews mention basic or rustic toilets in certain areas, the main bathrooms near the front are described as clean and modern. A sanitary dump station is available on-site for RV waste disposal. For convenience, there is a general store or camp store on the premises, offering various supplies and snacks. Wi-Fi access is generally advertised, though some past reviews suggest it can be spotty, indicating that while available, it might not be consistently strong throughout the entire campground. Day guests are also welcome, with fees for visitors to campers and the public to enjoy facilities like fishing and mini-golf.
The features that enhance the Wildwood Outdoor Escape experience are extensive and cater to a wide range of interests, emphasizing family-friendly recreation. A significant draw is the swimming pool and sun deck, providing a refreshing escape during warmer months. It's noted that the pool, while nice, is generally 4'6" deep, and specific policies regarding non-potty-trained toddlers might be in place. Fishing is a popular activity, with opportunities to cast a line in Willow Lake or Bole's Fishing Hole, and fishing is often included with campsite fees. Recreational facilities include a mini-golf course, a playground for children, a basketball net, and a volleyball court, ensuring ample entertainment options. Horseshoes and shuffleboard are also typically available. A recreation room or clubhouse serves as a gathering space, potentially for games or indoor activities. The campground frequently organizes a multitude of planned activities and entertainment venues, particularly during peak season, aiming to foster a sense of community and keep guests engaged. These activities can eliminate the need to leave the campground for entertainment. For larger gatherings, the campground offers facilities for events, including options for weddings on their island, receptions on the lawn or patio, or in an indoor meeting room with kitchen facilities, indicating versatility beyond just camping. The campground also offers flexible options for stays—nightly, weekly, monthly, or entire season—catering to various vacation lengths. Sites generally come with fire rings and picnic tables, facilitating outdoor dining and campfire enjoyment.

Customer Reviews
Great place to come camp. Two fishing spots, a nice game room, and pool. Only downfall is the restroom near the tent sites was very small, old and needed a good cleaning from ceiling to floors but other than that it's a great place for families to go and relax outdoors!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐😁👍🏼
The campground is quite lovely. It features two ponds, a swimming pool, and a recreation hall.
Enjoyed every minute of my stay. Sure was plenty to do. Jim and Linda were great extended every bit of Northern hospitality they could give. They really treat you like family here. Definitely plans for a return trip. Keep up the great work yall do. This is definitely the campground with the most. Respectfully Paul Stillson
