Since everything is closed I decided to check out the vacant campground. It had a rocky, but nice, beach area right down by the river and the camp sites look nice. I found a ton of quail eggs while I was there. After finding six or seven of them, I was beginning to wonder if they were real!
Good group camp. Site B has 3 areas for tents, plus room to sleep in the loft of the building. Don't expect to get a bunch of tents in the sites, or do expect to be very cozy. No running water, bring your own. Vault toilets were fine, maybe bring some extra TP if you have a large group.
We’ve started here nearly a dozen years now over 20 yrs asks absolutely love it. It’s one of few traditions we have. Both sites have their own special qualities.
Love this place! HATE packing in water and power! 109. $ a night should get you these amitities.....sad.
Good group camping spot
