Awesome spot! Baylor won't let you drive in and use their docks, so you'll need to put in further away. Aside from the extra time in the boat it's a killer little trip.

Absolutely gorgeous boat-in only campsite, but you're going to have to travel up or downstream to it, since you can't park/launch from directly across the river.

Total waste of time, you cannot even get into the facility we were police escorted off the property. Nowhere to launch. The policeman yelled at us stating why were here, I let him know these are the directions I was emailed. If your in a boat you can launch upstream but have to leave your vehicle at boat launch overnight. If your in a kayak,, forget it. They need to change website, get with Baylor school or something

Reserved a spot at this campground. Boated all the way there to find out that the dock and stairs are completely broken, and there is no place to put the boat or get to the campsite. We had to turn around and go home. The reservation site should be taken down until these things are fixed.

We did a 3 day kayaking trip launching from Chattanooga and this was our first night. Hard to rate because it’s kind of unique and we were pleasantly surprised by some covered sleeping areas, but the group camp site is a good 1/3 mile from the dock through some muddy spots left by a big truck or tractor. Has wooden storage racks for like a dozen kayaks/canoes and the dock is nice plastic with kayak handle hooks and spots to tie on. I don’t have a lot of primitive camping sites to compare it to. So not terrible but not awesome?
