Good for a sleeping or picnic spot. Small area with a creek. No water due to auto accident ending up in creek and contaminating area. Close to road but not noisy at night, 8 sites, pit toilets and not much else.
8 spot campground was a great stay. Only 2 others while we were there. Bathrooms were being replaced so just a porta potty. No hiking trails around so best for those wanting to just chill on site or use this while passing through on a roadtrip. Road is pretty close but not used a lot at night so it wasn't a problem.
A great place for an overnight stay while passing through. There's only 8 spaces, all back-in, but it was not full while we were there in August. I have separately photographed each space. We could fit our roughly 52-foot set up into a space without unhooking. Easy turn-around loop at the end. Accommodations: pit toilets, non-potable water here and there, and bridges to nowhere. Plenty of shade. Highway noise is apparent only when a the occasional vehicle is driving by.
Love the isolation here. Near the highway, but since the traffic is extremely light, noise is not a problem. (Fortunately, far north California hasn’t been ruined by the masses… yet.)
Spacious sites and the power was decent. A few seethy folks with big dogs off leash made things tense a couple of times. One dog fight, and a couple of almosts... sheeesh! Inexpensive place to stay for the night, just keep your dogs on leash and lock the doors overnight. We still liked the park itself, but it appears to have seen better days.
