I love this lake!! It has a great little beach for kids to play, where they don't immediately sink in mud. The water is clear, and warm (blue green algae is a big problem at most of the lakes around here). The lake has a larger "no wake" area perfect for kayaks and paddle boards, and great for taking a dive. There is a rop swing if you can get to the other side of the lake too. And it has a gorgeous view of Mt. McLaughlin. The camp grounds are a bit dusty, but to be expected. We love this lake and have been coming here for years!
Park rangers went out of their way to help find us a vacant calmpsite! Wood for campfire given to us. Lake was amazing but it was getting algae. My Lil dog loved it!
So very beautiful, calm and relaxing. 4$ day fee, 30$ seasonal, there are yurts, and cabins you can rent along with Camp sites. The perfect place to go out on lake and float or boat. Amazing for photography shots too.
What a special place! I stayed one night and fell in love - hung up my tent hammock between some trees right on the lake shore and witnessed one of the most surreal sunrises Ive ever seen. Mcloughlin makes the scenery unforgettable. Minimal bugs, lots of chipmonks and birds and geese.. saw a deer while going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Camp host Amy was an absolute delight, I followed some of her recommendations and had an incredible time. They will absolutely see me here again!
Very nice campground. Be aware that sites 15-18 are extremely small and once you go down that little road there is not outlet or place to turn around a trailer. Otherwise very nice park, clean bathrooms, great beach!
