Willow Pond RV Campground Introduce

Welcome to Willow Pond RV Campground, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Fort Dix, NJ. This tranquil campground offers a perfect escape for RV enthusiasts, military personnel, and nature lovers alike. With its scenic views, abundant wildlife, and affordable rates, Willow Pond is an ideal destination for those seeking peace and relaxation.

The campground features 8 spacious sites, each equipped with 30A electrical hookups and water connections. Priced at just $20 per night for military and retired military personnel, Willow Pond provides excellent value for a comfortable stay. The gravel sites are level and back-in, offering a picturesque view of a grassy area and a small lake. While the campground is peaceful on weekends, be aware that it backs up to a main road with occasional traffic from large army trucks during weekdays.

For your convenience, a dump station is available on-site. However, please note that the bathrooms may be locked, and maintenance issues have been reported by some visitors. Many guests opt to shower at the nearby field house, just a 5-minute drive away, to avoid filling their gray water tanks.

Willow Pond RV Campground is part of an active military base, so expect a unique experience that blends natural beauty with the hustle and bustle of military life. The campground is surrounded by lush greenery and is home to hungry largemouth bass, making it a great spot for morning fishing.

Check-in is streamlined with online paperwork, but a visit to Outdoor Rec is still required to complete the process. For after-hours fuel needs, the gas station on the McGuire side of the joint base remains open.

All around good rv camping with a couple of caveats. The bathroom is not very well maintained and is in need of some general maintenance (e.g. broken toilet handles, broken toilet roll dispenser, shiny metal instead of mirrors). We showered at the field house (5 min drive) since we have a smaller camper and didn't want to fill the gray water tank. Also, spots back up to a main road that is highly trafficked by large army trucks all day long on the weekdays. This is an active base so it's to be expected, just a warning for others coming here. Willow Pond is beautiful with lots of wildlife and hungry large mouth bass in the mornings. Overall it's an ok rv campground and it's peaceful on the weekends.

Only 8 sites available with only 30A and water for $20/night for military/retired mil. There is a dump station on site. The gravel sites are level, all back in, and have a nice view of a grass area and a small lake. It looked like there was only one long term camper, and no host. The bathrooms were locked; not sure if they ever open. Although you have to do all the paperwork on line and email it in, they still make you drive over to Outdoor Rec to check in. The gas station on the Ft. Dix side closes each evening. If you need after hours fuel, drive over to the station on the McGuire side of the joint base.

Nice place, but not many amenities. Bathrooms closed, and the cell phone reception was not good. When it rains, it gets a bit muddy. You need a military id to access the base.

Camp Ground that only takes in person reservations? Active Duty military members traveling on orders can' not make a reservation before they get there. Let me say that again. You have to travel to the office to have your ID checked before you can make a reservation.

Nice site for visiting NJ. Peaceful setting. Only 8 sites. Dump station on site, bath houses on site. Busy on weekends when Reserves show up. Pool not far and nice Bowling Alley. Lots of off base restaurants and shopping close by. Why four stars? The water hook ups are dated and haven't worked well a few times and repair response was very slow.
