Any current info available? Is it $20 a night? Does it accommodate RVs [like 35-40 ft]? Is there some way to tell if there are spaces available BEFORE I drive 300-400 miles to get there and FIND NO spaces left!!??
This isn't free anymore. It's now a part of Utahraptor State Park. There's a QR code at entry where you can pay for camping, $15 a night. Dispersped camping. Easy to follow the road and signs. Portapotties all around. First come first served sites, marked by fire pits. Looked like plenty of space to me but I went in July during slow season. This is as close as it gets to Arches National Park. Maybe a 5 minute drive max to the entry of the park.
Great free camping, very secluded and plenty of lots for car or tent camping, many have already built fire rings. The road getting in has a few big potholes so just go slow. Very close to arches park and anything else you want in Moab.
This is a red dirt bumpy road with primitive campsites. Our 4x4 sprinter van didn't have any issues. $15/ night to camp, pay online on Utah State Park website or scan QR code on sign when turning onto the road.
Apparently we don't pay enough taxes. Used to be an amazing spot.
