The Willows Campground is clean, conveniently located, and perfect for campers with small children and/or paddle boards. The Highway is a little too close for comfort at some spots so look at the map before you book. Also bring bug spray or make sure you have a fire started by 3pm. The bugs up there are hungry.

Beautiful views of the mountains with water access for most of the campsites. Clean facilities were a plus. Fishing, boating & paddle boarding! Water level is also back to full capacity after several low years.

Best vault toilets I've ever used, haha. The reservoir is low and very eroded. Fishing was great. Too muddy and rocky to even wade, much less swim, but the facilities and the views were fantastic. If you just want to hang and fish, this is a great campground! Just remember to bring water as there's no pump on the site. And earplugs if the sounds of the highway might bother you. 30min drive to Silverthorne too, so food and shopping is near enough.

The map on recreation.gov doesn't accurately reflect the campsite locations. Also, site 15 at this campground is nearly impossible to use. It's barely big enough to park your car and has a 30 degree slope, so tent camping is completely out. You are also within a stone's throw of the highway and get blinded by highway lights all nights and the highway is VERY loud. If you try and ask for a refund because the site is literally impossible to use for camping, they will tell you that you're screwed and you have to pay even more money to reserve a different site. I honestly would only recommend staying at sites 1 - 12 maximum at this site. The Elliott campsite up the road is much better.

Great Campground! Some spots have shade some don't. Most spots have a great place to store a boat overnight. Friendly staff and reasonably clean facilities. Please slow down as you drive through as kids and dogs may be. Close to the road as some sites are right on the road.

An awesome spot to camp next to the water and still have the gore range in the background. We were there during the week and it was pretty empty. But I could see it being packed on the weekends.
