Great Mountain View. There is a little creek to cool off or wash your hands. Few minutes away from Manila and a boat ramp. It also has picnic tables and fire pit with grill for asados. Vault toilets.
No water! But a nice stop after a long day. A little creek, spectacular rocks, no real trails.
A good location. With a picnic table and fire ring at every spot.
Everything you'd expect for a forest service campsite. Location was everything. Spent one night in May 2021. A little muddy on the access road since it was rainy. Located in the Flaming Gorge NRA and adjacent to the Sheep Creek Geologic Area. Beautiful scenery. 9 sites. First come first served, paid $13, pit toilet.
Several reasons i like this place. 1. Close to town. 2. Next to a running stream. 3. Cleanest bathrooms I've found at a wilderness campground thanks to Steve and Jackie..!!! 4. Close to an alternate marina drop in ramp. 5. 30 minutes from Dutch John/Damn.. for rafting of course. This is not a party campsite. All noise is monitored after 10pm. A couple of ATV trails close to here.. 5 miles up hwy 44 to trail 093. Dowd mtn trail s also.
