Winding River Campground

My kiddos and I have had a fabulous time here!! Such a wonderful staff, the girls in the office have been more than accommodating!! If you have any issues at all Sarah is your go-to girl, She is such a wonderful manager. I tend to be a little " "forgetful " sometimes and she has answered all of my silly questions and treats everyone with such Kindness and really ensures all of the guests are happy! One afternoon I was a single quarter short to finish my laundry and Mercedes ( I believe a manager) stopped everything she was doing to run out to her car and give me a few of her personal quarters....that is just one small example of the amazing community here at Winding River. From the girls in the office and the entire staff who work hard to keep everyone entertained and a packed schedule with lots for the kids to do! My kids definitely found a sense of independence being here and I was so grateful to know they were/ are safe while here exploring with their new camp friends and that is in large part to do with the amazing staff! Oh and I can't forget the amazing chef, Luke!!! He is SO kind and personable! He truly cares and wants you to enjoy your meal and it shows through his compassion and attention to detail! We will Definitely be coming back next year!! See you guys all then! Thank you for a great Summer!

My daughter and her two children (ages 8 and 9yrs old) are having the BEST time camping here! There is so much to do and friendly campers everywhere happily enjoying themselves. If you are looking for a family/kid friendly place to go camping, this is it! It is a kids' paradise for sure with lots of activities from swimming at the pool (with hot tub) to visiting the arcade, riding bikes and eating ice cream! Thank you to the office staff, Mercedes and Sarah and all the others, you are so helpful and kind! A great team.

We stayed here for a month (regretfully) and would never choose to return. First, I'll start by saying every interaction with an employee was great and the location was also great. But the campground itself is a dump. As soon as you exit the paved road you're greeted with a view of overflowing dumpsters and the stench of trash. Everything was so dry and dusty it was miserable. You could never leave your doors or window open unless you wanted a coating of dirt on everything. The seasonal sites are clearly their priority as they have all the spots near the pool and camp store. Those seasonal sites are very unsightly and there doesn't seem to be any restrictions on what you can have around your site. Forget about using the pool on the weekends as it's absolutely packed. We tried a couple of times during the week but it was pretty dirty so we didn't return. They post 5mph speed limits everywhere, but the golf carts (even the employees) fly up and down the roads creating nothing but dust. So much potential here, but they have a long way to go.

Reasonably priced, safe clean facilities, kind and caring staff, clean camp sites with access to water and electric, friendly community driven atmosphere. Plenty for the kids to do. Arcade/ pool. Classic camp vibes. Food was surprisingly good at the camp kitchen. Large portion sizes. A true gem for those with families looking for seasonal/weekend getaway. You and your children will make lasting friends.

Thank you Winding River Staff! You all were so accommodating, helpful and friendly! We had the best time staying at Winding River campground. Their sites are big enough and clean. The bathrooms were also clean, plus free showers! They have playgrounds for the kiddos to play at, a huge bounce pillow, activities for all ages and their pool is nice & relaxing. The downtown area and the beach is close enough to go to as well! A great time for everyone to have; very family friendly! We will be back for sure && recommend Winding River campground to anyone!

There is no finer place for camping with friends and family like the winding river campground. It has one of the largest swimming pools, complete with rock water slides, in New Hampshire! And don't forget the hot tub that will seat 15 comfortably. Fantastic staff! There is an arcade with air hockey, pinball, and an array of gameplay! The kids can pan for rock treasures, rent pedal bikes, paddle down the river in Kayaks, or rent a golf cart for the day and just drive around the campground. There is a general store that sells everything from firewood to beer and quite literally anything you may need. There is a full ice cream bar and don't forget the restaurant! Hands down the best burger and fries and homemade pizza! On weekends, there is a live band and disco ball for dancing the night away, and let's not forget the drive-in, where you and your kids can sit on a blanket and watch a featured Disney movie. The cabins are clean and beautiful should you choose to rent one. Widing River Campground has it all and more! I absolutely love this place! Pets welcome!!
