Winding Waters RV Resort

We decided the day before to reserve an RV premium pull-through at Winding Waters RV Park in Cartersville, GA and we will 1000% be back. We planned for an overnight stay on our road trip but fell in love and added an extra night! The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved their patio furniture for the premium site and how large the concrete pad is (100 ft, hallelujah!). The views were beautiful and peaceful. Our favorite is they had the pool TRULY HEATED and we stayed mid-November and enjoyed swimming and their hot tub! The two epic water slides had limited hours during our stay which is totally understandable (autumn, working on winter). The clubhouse is immaculate. There’s an outside gym, playground, three stocked ponds, a river, and a state park close by. Incredibly dog-friendly with a dog park (maybe more than one?!) and several “clean-up” stations. We didn’t have a chance to explore all of their amenities or localities but we’ll be back.

What a great place to stay! This newly opened resort is conveniently off I-75 near Cartersville but does not overlook the interstate. Asphalt drives, many concrete pad sites, pet fences on certain sites, a dog park, pool with slides, and much more make this a great spot to stay. We will definitely keep this place on our list to return to when traveling through the Atlanta region!

We recently bought a new RV and couldn’t wait to take it out for the weekend. We love camping and just had to test it right away! Open Roads in Acworth referred us to this beautiful resort nearby, and it was the perfect recommendation. The campground is brand new, and you can definitely tell—everything is clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is just gorgeous. Though we didn’t bring our dogs or kids this time, the campground is perfect for families, couples, solo travelers, anyone! There are plenty of spots to choose from, whether you prefer gravel or concrete, and options for different RV lengths. The staff was absolutely wonderful! The man who guided us to our spot was incredibly sweet, helped us park, and explained some features about the campsite before wishing us a great stay. We did have a breaker issue, but the on-site staff was amazing. They answered the phone after hours, asked a few quick questions, and sent a crew out to fix it—all within 5 minutes! We couldn’t have asked for better service. We’d definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area!

My family enjoyed our weekend stay in one of the tiny home cabins. We had a volleyball tournament at the Lake Point Sports Complex and Winding Waters was so convenient during the tournament downtimes. The cabin was great and provided plenty of room for our family of 5. It was also stocked with all of the creature comforts - Keurig Coffee, Roku TV, cookware, etc. The check-in experience was easy and the staff was great. In the park store, we bought firewood and everything needed for smores. By the time we got back to our cabin, the firewood was already delivered. Our favorite part, was waking up and sitting on the front porch overlooking the Etowah River. We have already booked another stay for the next tournament.

We loved the experience here! The staff is amazing and took great care of us the whole time. Josh from maintenance went above and beyond making sure we were set up properly and got everything we needed. We are new to RVs and they made it feel like home right away. Will definitely be back!
