Windmill Bight Municipal RV Park

This has to be one of the most scenic places I have ever been. With friendly, helpful staff, beautiful sand beaches, ocean swimming, fresh water swimming and great campsites, this park is a great place for the whole family. Laundry and shower facilities are just a few minutes away in Lumsden. This will be a regular stop for my family!

Booked online and thought the park was full however it wasn't, which was great for us. Many of the sites are pull through and serviced and that was great for us towing a trailer. Park was clean and garbage and recycling collected everyday. Stayed for 3 nights. The area is beautiful and walked the whole park several times a day with my dogs. Park was very quiet at night. Wifi was a challenge. Had to find the magic tree 😁 across from the office and even then it was hit or miss. I found it odd that the comfort station was several kms away but it was spotless. Visited Lumsden Beach and was so surprised how few people were there. It is a beautiful area!

Can't understand why the website said it was full. We almost had the park to ourselves. Go to the Irving, just down the road, to get whatever you might need.

Wonderful campground, very nice campsites, with a lovely pond with a rope around the shallow area for kids to swim, and also a great beach just beyond with impressive breakers. Bring your surfboard! The comfort station has clean and pleasant bathrooms and showers, but it is in town a few miles away. The comfort station also has wifi!

Fantastic location. Fantastic staff. Great private drive thru lots. The beach and pond are very close, and the local town is just 3 km away and has a fantastic beach also. Locals are super friendly. Cell coverage is spotty so bring your booster and you will be fine. A definite stop for RVing in NL.
