Wingate by Wyndham Kamloops

The room was a tad on the small side for a family of four, but the location was good. Really nice shower, but the lighting was not the best. Made the mistake of looking under the bed🤢 I don't think it's been cleaned for a very long time. Enjoyed the breakfast room. It was nice to sit and enjoy a coffee before heading back on the road.

This hotel was one of about 6 called that was wheelchair accessible in Kamloops and had exactly what we needed. Staff were very helpful, room was clean and the accessible bathroom was great. A door that opens out would be easier than the slider to access the bathroom and my only other recommendation would be an accessible parking stall in the underground. Again, staff were great and let us double park down there so we didn't have to face the -17, but other patrons probably thought we were terrible parkers ;-).

Review: I recently had an extremely disappointing experience. My company had booked a room for me, but upon arrival, I was refused accommodation simply because I didn’t have a credit card, even though the reservation was already paid for. This happened during winter, at night, leaving me stranded without a place to stay in harsh conditions. What shocked me the most was not just the rigid policy, but the complete lack of hospitality—the very foundation of the hotel industry. Hotels are supposed to be a place of welcome, understanding, and support, especially when guests are in vulnerable situations. Hospitality isn’t just about providing a room; it’s about creating an environment where guests feel cared for, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on all these fronts. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects even the most basic level of customer care and professionalism.

Stayed here one night. Everything was nice except the cleanliness of the bathroom floor and the bathroom shower walls- there was hair on the floor and hair in the shower- made me not want to take my shoes off in the rest of the room. Breakfast was nice.

Nice room, overall the property was great, breakfast was good. Hot tub was good, but everyone who tried to turn on the jets was confused because they don’t act like jets, more like barely noticeable underwater streams.
