Quiet. Peaceful. Too much ambient light at night.
Great fishing, nice playground for the kids. When the water is low, can wander down the side of the Mississippi for a long while. Saw some catfish, walleye, northern pike, perch and some kind of trout I couldn't identify.
Beautiful small campground with spacious and immaculately maintained sites. Electricity, fire pit with adjustable grill, and picnic table at every site, water at several spigots around the campground, free dump station, friendly host. Nice vault toilets separate from great shower building. Firewood available about 2 miles away at Ken’s Greenhouse or Winnie Trading Post on Rte 46.
Nice and clean and decent sized sites. We were traveling through and just stopped for the night. $24 for just electric at your site. The downside….the mosquitoes were ferocious.
Very nice to have a family picnic has fishing, bathrooms, water fountain, grill, canopy w/picnic tables. Always come here maybe once a year for a picnic with the fam!.
