Great trail to a really nice slot canyon. Who doesn't love a slot canyon? Some nice petroglyphs at the end for a reward. $6 to park at the trail head. Road was in great shape, and very few people on the trail. One tight place with a stump lodged in the canyon, and one ladder to navigate. A couple of other small drops to hop down.

Awesome. I did a lot of research before I went over the last couple years. My first concern was can I take my Ford Fusion there.. Answer YES. Drive very slow the last 8 mi and the last one mile it's a bit sketch because it goes down to one lane and it's a very rough but it's totally doable. In fact a herd of antelope crossed the road in front of us it was amazing.. I didn't have my phone out or I would have gotten pictures. My other concern I have a very strong heavy blue heeler dog named Baz that in no way could take that ladder. So I did a ton of research about the alternative route and never really got a clear answer. So the trail itself to the canyon is flat and very easy.. You will come to a part where you see the first stripped rocks and It seems to come to a dead end. If you look to the right you'll see the entrance to the canyon I'm going to try to edit my photos so I can show you. If back up about 20 feet or so and look to your right you'll see a sign that says rattlesnakes.. That's where you take the alternative route. It is going to require some scrambling and it's not for the faint of heart. When you get to the top you get some really cool views and pictures that others won't who just done the ladder. Going down will take time and very footing. I deliberately have added a bunch of photos so you can kind of get the idea of how to get up there and back down. We got there fairly late so we didn't get into buckskin and the place was way more crowded than I expected so be warned..

Gorgeous, easy hike through the slot canyons. We got to a point where we could not continue due to the water BUT it was worth the 2 miles we hiked in to see what we could. It was cool once we got into the canyon and you have to see this to believe it….it’s breathtaking!

Very cool slot canyons. There is a spot where the trail detours to the right, and we went straight. There were a few spots we had to climb down a little, and then there was a ten foot wooden ladder. At the end, you get to Buckskin Gulch, pic with wide open area.

Amazing slot. To the left of the confluence the canyon goes on for a mile and is pretty easy to navigate. To the right the ground is very rocky but the canyon goes on forever and is amazing
