The environment at Wooded Acres Family Campground lives up to its name, providing a beautifully wooded setting that promotes relaxation and a true connection with nature. The campground features large, spacious sites, many of which are nestled among mature trees, offering ample shade and a sense of privacy. This natural landscaping creates a serene backdrop for camping, whether you prefer the rustic charm of a tent site or the convenience of an RV hookup. The well-maintained grounds reflect a dedication to providing a clean and appealing environment for all campers. Beyond the immediate campground, its proximity to Houghton Lake, Michigan's largest inland lake, significantly enhances the environmental appeal. This offers guests direct access to vast opportunities for water-based recreation and the enjoyment of stunning lakeside vistas. The surrounding area is characterized by flat terrain with dense tree coverage, providing a peaceful and picturesque setting ideal for unwinding.

As a comprehensive provider in the Campgrounds & RV Parks sector, Wooded Acres Family Campground offers a broad spectrum of services and goods for sale, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay for all types of campers. For RV and trailer enthusiasts, the campground provides a variety of sites with essential hookups, including 30-amp and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Premium pull-through sites are available, designed for ease of access and accommodating larger rigs up to 44 feet. For those who prefer a more traditional camping experience, tent sites are offered, some with water and electric hookups, and others providing a more primitive, "no hookup" option. We had the best time here! We have camped at quite a few different places around Michigan and this is the nicest family campground we have been to. The owners are very friendly and keep the campground super clean. All the campers seem very happy and the kids have a lot of fun. Jon and Jenny had special games and activities for the kids the weekend we were there. It’s so peaceful here and the weather was perfect. We highly recommend this campground and will definitely be back.

This is the best campground we have ever been to. It’s clean, bathrooms, showers, and utility rooms are very clean and smell good. The kids all play nice together out on the playground, and everyone seems to get along well. We will definitely be back. Jon and Jenny are also very friendly. Super nice people. Our kids love it here and we will be back!

Great campground! Jon and Jenny are friendly and helpful, and they have done a great job of bringing the appearance and maintenance of this campground to a much higher level. Laundry room is spacious and clean and bathrooms are clean and fresh. If you don't have a camper, check out the pics of the new deluxe cabin! It looks and smells great!

Details will be updated end of month about my experience. Update: This place is terrible. The owners are exactly how all the other reviews state. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt after reading the reviews.... NEVER AGAIN!!! This place is not fun they run it like Nazis. They will take pics of your firepit when your gone for the day, the owner will watch you in your camper through binoculars (ladies beware) It was the most awkward and uninviting place we have ever camped. Highly do not recommend!!!!! They will kick you out at any given moment if they don't like you. We were a seasonal site and watched it happen multiple times to people.. if you wanna enjoy your vacation I suggest stay clear of this place. There is a reason this is the only campground with seasonal openings and it's for a good reason. Ladies, beware especially, the owner is a super creep. If I could give zero stars I would.
