The deer were not a nuisance, they were an added adventure. Even let me follow them very slowly for a bit. I was there late in season, a friend has a permanent cabin there year-round, and it was still awesome and we were still able to swim, and it was a great place to relax and just enjoy.

Love, Love, Love, this place. I would HIGHLY recommend buying property at this campsite. They are very friendly and make you feel a part of their family immediately. Been with them for 30+ years and I doubt I am going to ever sell, because whole family loves camping here.

Love this privately owned campground the largest in Illinois. It's well maintained & something for every age. It also has security 24-7. Very nice staff. Call if you want to try before you buy option. Camping, swimming & lakes means fishing. Great weekend retreat or stay all summer long. Lots of activities.

This place is just excellent and perfect for relaxing and taking a break from being in noisy cities like Chicago. Also, phone service is great and never drops out, meaning that you will have an internet connection using your phone cell service. Having your own small home is an added bonus. Sleeping in here is excellent because there is no noise to wake you up. I would highly recommend this place for family or personal camping. You also have home appliances like refrigerators and stoves. It's worth buying a house and coming.

I went here for a job to build a deck. I typically work on residential homes so this was new for me to work in work in a campground. There are a lot of beautiful deer in this park. Everyone that I came across was very laid back and friendly. There are at least 2 swimming pools, a rec center and a miniature golf course that looks pretty cool. It was a good experience working there, however I have to say that some of the areas in the park and some of the campsites could really use some upkeep.
