We love our visits to Woodhead Park, but the off-season, winter camping is pretty magical. Lots of wildlife, including bald eagles. Idaho Power has really created a beautiful and comfortable experience. Great job!

Camp host are absolutely amazing. They are super friendly and go out of their way to help you. They continue to monitor the park through out the day. They provide free fire wood and a little library. Beautiful view, and perfect for boating, fishing, or paddle boards. They even have an area to clean the fish. Campsite has a fire ring and picnic table. No WiFi unless you purchase it. Even when you purchase the WiFi, it is really spotty service. The park has paved trails and gravel trails but limited shaded areas. I saw a buck , doe and two baby deer. Restroom are the cleanest I’ve seen for a campground. The showers are single unit which is nice for security. The road to get to the campground is 30 minutes from Cambridge and curvy all the way from Cambridge to Park.

Large resevoir with lots of fish and wildlife. Campground is very clean with restrooms and showers. They also have a very nice fish filleting station. They are not allowing any fires in the designated fire pits which is quite unfortunate but winds do come up quickly and there is a lot of dry areas. They have water and power hookups with a dump station at the entrance of the park. The campground itself is very nice with lots of trees, grass, and a boat launch. The dock has full rubber sides all around it which is nice for launching boats. We saw the largest catfish ever and caught a ton of bass. The lake is not crowded at all and very large.

Great camp ground, hosts and people working are amazing, few people partied first night but they got things quiet quickly. Great time on the water, and the baby deer were fun to watch. Grand daughter caught big cat fish.

We recently took our new boat out to Brownlee, Reservoir and stayed at Woodhead campground. Well, out on the lake our boat experienced a catastrophic failure. It was the middle of the night and we had no lights or power. We were able to signal for help from the water and the campground host heard our yelling and whistles for help. She coordinated an effort to retrieve us from the water. Two young men in a boat, came out and rescued us and pulled us into Woodhead boat ramp. Can’t think those guys enough. Can’t thank the staff at Woodhead campground enough. Excellent people excellent campground, we will continue to keep going there.
