Crisp, clean, clear, freezing, refreshing water to swim in. Good fishing and hiking trails. Camping if you want too, I love it out there. I know it says day use, but others camp there all the time. And it's about 20°cooler than in town.

The river setting is absolutely beautiful. But we the people have allowed our government civil services be absolutely run down Our once beloved parks are a national embarrassment.

Every year my daughter holds a camp out for family and friends to celebrate and remember the all to short life of Eugene P Espinosa "Geno". The camp grounds located above the town of Prospect are in and around Abbot Creek, were Geno's favorite places to go. Once you leave the highway you're on dirt or most times dust. Cell service is spotty or nonexistent. Woodruff Bridge is a short 10 minute walk from our Camp site three years in a row. We were there mid July. The creek is stocked with nice size rainbow trout. If yoi would like to spark an interest in fishing, I can think of a better place than Woodruff Bridge anybody and everybody caught fish pn a simple worm baited hood and split shots for weight. I would reccomend small children wear a life preserver. Fishing is from 10-15 feet above the ice cold water atop a cliff like sheer rock wall. There are also waterfalls a little ways above the bridge. It is beautiful and I'm considering another visit before summer is over.
