We love staying here by the river. The campground is very nice and the park like atmosphere under the trees by the river is beautiful. The staff is nice and helpful and you couldn’t ask for better. There’s a new dump station behind the office that is very nice. However for some reason they put in several sharp turns getting out of it to the park exit. When you have a long rig like mine (53’) it’s a problem so be careful. We’ve stayed here before and we’ll stay here again. We love it.
One of the top five RV parks I’ve been to. Spacious sites set in the trees and Rio Grande runs by!! Also a very nice walking path all around the whole park Lots of great bird watching right at your site Very friendly and helpful office staff Linda. Bathrooms and laundry are spotless. Free fire wood and covered pavilions for hosting events So peaceful and quiet. Can’t wait to come back
Woods and River isn’t for everyone, but if you are looking for a secluded, tranquil, and rustic respite from the hustle and bustle of traveling, this is the spot! Nestled next to the Rio Grande as it meanders through southern Colorado, this RV park has a lot going for it. From the newly created sidewalk system to the free firewood and well-protected fire rings, we enjoyed our two days at the aptly named Woods and River. As an added bonus, we had a small leak in our water hook up, and the owner fixed it right away. We stayed in #32 not on the river as we wanted full hook ups. We had good wifi but no television which we didn’t mind!
I recently stayed at this fantastic RV Park and was very impressed. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay very pleasant. The entire park was spotless, including the campsites and the restrooms. The location is also excellent, offering beautiful scenery and convenient access to nearby attractions. I highly recommend this RV Park and am looking forward to returning soon.
This year was our second time staying for a couple nights. Since 2019 they added a nice bathhouse and laundry and front desk. Met more nice people from out of state and did a little fishing in the river there and outside south fork. Spots are spacious and all trees which is the best part. Would recommend to anyone making your way through southern Colorado.
