A very unique place to camp. It's fun to kayak out from Kill Kare State Park. The fire pits have great adjustable grills on them that makes it super easy to cook on. The composting toilets are in good shape. Tons of garter snakes on the island. I snorkeled and saw huge fish and eels. It gets super windy because it is so exposed!

A great secluded get away. An enjoyable trail goes around the island. Campsites are remote and plenty of distance apart from one another. Excellent views of the Green Mnts. And Adirondack Mnts. Sunrises and sunsets have to be awesome!

If you are thinking about camping 🏕 here, do it. Is a great experience. There are only 5 campsites on the whole island so it feels very remote even if you are an hour paddle away from civilization. The stars are amazing from there!

Nice place to spend the afternoon. Seaweed makes it a little hard to swim later in the season; but it's nice to get out into nature on this undeveloped island park.
