Worden Pond Family Campground Introduce

Worden Pond Family Campground is a charming and family-friendly RV park located in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Nestled near the picturesque Wordens Pond, this campground provides a serene environment for those seeking a peaceful outdoor experience while being close to popular destinations.

The campsite primarily caters to seasonal long-term campers but also offers a limited number of short-term stays. With its convenient location near water and local attractions, it's an ideal choice for families or individuals looking to enjoy nature while staying close to amenities.

  • Scenic setting with access to water activities
  • Family-friendly atmosphere with community events

Customer feedback highlights the campground's beautiful location and friendly staff. However, some visitors note that pricing is higher than expected relative to the grounds' condition, and maintenance of seasonal sites could be improved.

Guests also recommend having your own transportation for convenience, as relying on staff for rides can be challenging. A shuttle service or vehicle rental options would enhance accessibility.

The campground primarily caters to seasonal long-term campers, with only a limited number of non-seasonal spots available. It is conveniently located near water and by our destination, making it suitable for my family's needs. However, the pricing seems high relative to the overall condition of the grounds. Additionally, many of the seasonal sites appear poorly maintained, which diminishes the campground's overall appeal.

Just make sure if you are coming from out of state to stay here that you aren’t relying on anyone for transportation or sight seeing especially if you are from out of state. And if you are here to work at the campground also have your set days and stick to it. If you want the best of both worlds meaning the camping experience but also be able to come and go as you please and also work be clear about the hours you can work and I can’t stress this enough, bring or rent transportation. Relying on the staff or management to bring you in to town or take you site seeing isn’t going to work out. One of the biggest things I think they need to change is having a shuttle van or a small bus and not using personal cars to take people to the store. It’s odd. I think that if anyone is coming here from out of state to work here but also enjoy there summer at this beautiful campground but they are on a budget and struggling to afford a rental especially not a days that the camp should have vehicles that those people should be able to use for a small fee. And make it easier for them to come and go ad they please.

Since we just came here for one night to rest , we didn’t make the full experience but I can say, that the lake close to the entrance looks beautiful in the morning or evening and the restrooms were clean. I was not happy with the trash on the sites we have seen there. I know it is the peoples behaviour but I made other experience on other campgrounds were the service teams put immense of effort to get the sites clean and get rid of plastic and other trash until new customers are coming.

The park was easy to find. It is located about five miles from down town Wakefield. There is pavement all the way. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are a mix of pavement. gravel and dirt and for the most part in good condition. Our site, 14, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp and water only) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. There are a lot of seasonal sites here but none looked trashy. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was neat, tidy and well cared for. There is park included wifi but it was very poor. We could not even check email on it. Our Verizon hot spot worked well. We did find some OTA channels. Satellite might be difficult in the treed areas. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be an okay overnighter. We paid $60.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.
