Yaksmas Island Introduce

Looking for a unique experience within the Campgrounds & RV Parks category near Cedar Creek, Texas? Consider Yaksmas Island, located in Cedar Creek, TX 78612, USA. This destination offers a distinct camping environment along the river.

Based on recent feedback, Yaksmas Island is described as a great spot for riverside camping. Its location across the river from the Hyatt Lost Pines might result in some ambient noise, primarily from maintenance crews, but overall it provides a natural setting. One visitor who stayed in December 2024 noted that the riverbank was a bit muddy, which is common for many spots in the area. The island offers some firewood and good locations for setting up tents and having campfires.

Yaksmas Island is characterized as a "cool little wilderness island" with ample wood available for campfires and plenty of space for tents, accommodating large groups (one review mentioned 10 campers in 6 tents). Great spot to stop and camp along the river. It’s across the river from the Hyatt Lost Pines so it’s a little loud but just maintenance crew and stuff. Was a little muddy at the bank but that’s true most of the spots in the area. Some firewood, good spots for tents and fires. Stayed Dec 19th 2024. We paddled over to the Hyatt and walked to the bar and had a drink. Nice bonus.

Cool little wilderness island. Plenty of wood for raging fires and lots of space for tents (we had 10 campers in 6 tents). Previous campers left behind some nice decor to make the place feel like home.

fantastic accommodations. Good sandy campsites and really one of the best islands to camp on between Austin and Bastrop

Plenty of flat ground for tents. The beaches are muddy and there's very little shade.

Good place to camp, just not in the full heat of summer
