Accessibility is one of its core strengths as a "KOA Journey." The design typically includes long, level Pull-thru RV Sites with 50-amp service, which are ideal for large rigs that prefer not to unhook. The facility is situated just outside the main downtown area of Yankton, providing easy access to all the town's resources—groceries, fuel, and dining—while maintaining a peaceful, removed atmosphere. For local South Dakota residents, the drive from Sioux Falls, Mitchell, or other regional cities is straightforward, making it a viable weekend escape. Crucially, the campground is located next door to the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Complex, and only a few miles from the Lewis and Clark Recreation Area and the historic Gavins Point Dam, offering immediate access to major recreational sites.

I was visiting a family member so I can’t honestly say how the reservation process went but I was told that was excellent as well! Very clean and spaced! Has a pool (closed for winter) plus a large bouncy and playground for kids! Quiet and peaceful!! This is a campground with cabins and many spots to back in your camper! Full hook up

We rented the small cabin for 4 days. It was clean and perfect sized. One full bed and one set of twin bunk beds. It was located across from the playground and the bathroom was in close range. The campground itself was peaceful and we did not hear any noise inside the cabin. The air conditioner was luxury!! Only thing I would have wanted different was a mini fridge. Luckily I had brought a plug in cooler or we would have had hot drinking water on hot days

Great location- its about 10 mins from town/ walmart. The family that owns it are super friendly, and really care about providing a clean campground. Super great to bring kids to this one. They have a pool, playground, and a jumping pillow. Definitely will return to this one!

stayed here on our trip down from Alaska this summer, we actually lived in yankton for a year way back in 1976 and this was our first time staying there since then! yankton is a nice little town off the beaten path, well worth the stop, the dam in town is amazing and theres lots to see and do while you are there! rv park was easy to find, clean and the staff was super friendly! showers & laundry all were excellent!

Run Down, Flooded lots, and Safety issues. We chose this location because of the KOA Patio option. It turned out to be a rusted bench with a filthy pad and a wooden picnic table that was about to fall apart. The driveways and lots are not level. Several had substantial flooding after an overnight rain. The pull thru spot we chose not long enough for our toad. We barely had any room for it after we unhooked. Then, the safety issues. The neighboring property is an archery range. One of the targets was in the open space on the edge of the campground. While there are signs, there is nothing preventing an arrow missing the target and hitting someone. How is this even legal?
