Loved it! I made Yavapai Campground my favorite place to stay. Yavapai Campground is safe and clean. It is a close to everything you may need or want but far enough away to enjoy the quiet sounds of nature and fresh air.

Were it not so darn hot on July 3, I would have been even more ecstatic to be up in the pines. But as an early riser, I got some good hiking in before hell bled through the earth's crust once again. Lol. Fabulous facilities, as all have said. Can't wait to stay here again, only 37 miles from my house! Note...bring your own shade & a fan. PS: The lake with boat launch & day use is a mile or so further down the road & not near the campground.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Lots of open areas for solar. Varied campsites but most are roomy enough and widely spaced. The Granite Mountain hike a great one if you have the stamina. Composting toilets always clean and well kept.

Decent campground. most sites are very well isolated from one another. Ours (19) was very well hidden from our neighbors, but it is next to the Main campground sign and visitors would stop from time to time, but it really wasn't a big deal. The pads for tents are a good size, however most site pads are not going to accommodate a tent larger than a four-man if that's your concern. We had a six-man and it set over the sides of the pad, but worked fine. Most sites have parking for at least two vehicles or a trailer and a vehicle. Some are tighter than others but people made it work. Firewood is plentiful in the neighboring woods, otherwise the camp host (nice guy) sometimes has bagged wood for sale. It's a 10-15-minute drive into town to get provisions. Plenty of hiking, biking, horseback riding, and even a small pond up the road for fishing or boating. Great star gazing, restrooms on site, large fire pits, some have grills too. Worth the trip.
