Customer Reviews
If the recommendation was based only on the host and owner he would be an absolutely awesome recommendation. He went above and beyond to help everyone he knew everyone in town and could help solve problems. A hard-working man! Unfortunately the campground needs some serious work. There is a lot of garbage and basically junk all over the place that needs to be cleaned up. The sewage at our site didn’t have a cap. Stinky site! The bathrooms need a serious renovations. It looks like something has been started but certainly not finished and there are screws sticking out, a shower that isn’t level so all the water pulls to one side and just generally in a state of disrepair. The location is on a beautiful river which is lovely. The campsite offers a fire pit which worked well. The middle of the campground seems to be an old trailer graveyard. The campground is conveniently located near the town with lots of services. Clean this place up and make the bathrooms useable and you won’t be able to keep people away especially with such a great host!
We just stayed at this camp for 2 nights over the long weekend. I would give it a 2.5 star 2 few things: 1) Poor communication: I e-mail the contact and got very strange 1 or 2 words answers for example I received a e-mail reply that said, "k". Was actually afraid they didn't save a spot for us, but they did 2) Old/dirty place: The place was not half as nice as the pictures. The whole camp has signs, broken down cars and wood places around. The cabin itself is old and run down. And those pictures are probably taken when the cottages were first built. I also found a few rat poop inside the cupboard where the pots and pans are 3) No Bedding: on their website it said, "All bedding except for pull out couch, dishes, pots, cutlery, fridge, stove, toaster, coffee-maker, full service hydro and water, picnic table & BBQ … just bring your own food, paper goods, towels, and personal toiletries". Well.. there was no bedding, no coffee maker or toaster. Luckily I always carry a set of sheets with me in case 4) Cash only. No credit card/debt. 5) Pricey: We paid $80/night. I didn't think it was worth that price for this run down place Having said all this, the owner was nice. Would not recommend this place. We only picked it because our friends rented an airbnb place around the area and this is the closest around our friend's
This place was ok at first but then I found out truth about the landlords I done my best to keep my site clean but there is so much garbage debris all over . Black Mold burring garbage all over . There should be no kids in these cabins as I think the health inspector would have a hay day with these People ! They lie about trailers being flooded . How these people get away with this for so long I can’t believe. That’s my opinion on ur old camp ground I’d
My husband and I have our trailer here this year and Leonard and his wife have been great...I have seen reviews from people who haven't been happy with the camp...but I hope these people realize that the camp went through a flood and the owners are doing everything they can to fix everything...from what I see now this place has alot of people here now...we are definitely coming back next year!!!
The people are nice it's very quiet and well monitored by the owners and its not overly expensive and on the river ...over all relaxing and quaint
