We attempted to go to YP#3 and then YP#33. #3 was closed for weather and #33 was extremely steep. We were unable to locate a flat surface space to camp. We traveled back down to YP#5. We didn't quite make it to the end of the trail as there was deep mud in the driving path from melting snow. It appeared that someone had gotten stuck further up the path and pulled logs into the trail in an attempt to get traction. We decided to pull over to the side and park in an area that fit us well (we are 24ft long). This is a good spot to reach a number of trails with gorgeous views of the lake.
Really long dirt/gravel road to drive on I would recommend a high clearance vehicle but I got in just fine with a low clearance one there are some bumps on the road that’s pretty much it
Decent area… only found one designated camping spot; i.e. fire pit. 50/50 cell service , depends on which side of ridge from lake.
They may have moved the campsite closer to road. Road behind is closed. This site looks new and not like the other reviews pics. Also not same location on map.
Good camp, not too far from Fawnskin.
