Beautiful camp. We got a little rain, but that is to be expected. There is a nature walk in the camp, which was perfect for our high energy kids. Lots of nice people, some noisy dogs. Very quite at night. There is a river that runs next to the camp that is great for fishing. Make sure to purchase firewood in town and bring it with you, this is a popular campsite and is very picked over. We had to do a lot scavenging for wood. Our spot was also in the sun 90% of the time, so I would suggest a pop up canopy. It is also very close to a dame, which was fun to see. There is also stocked ponds with docks for fishing.
I should give this place a 1 Star review so people think its bad and don't go there! I do have to say that this is a hidden gem. Big sites, plenty of firewood lying about. The entire road up to and including the campground are all paved. Flush toilets if you need them. The river, nature walk, walking bridge and much more make this a family friendly place to visit. Be sure to bring your bikes so you can pedal around the park and/or the nature trail. The Trail is about a half mile long, all flat, with interpretive signs telling about nature, the trees, river and more.
We absolutely love this place! We go every year around the 4th of July. It’s beautiful, clean, and so peaceful! The best part is there is no cell service! So you can enjoy a nice unplugged time.
Such a great campsite! Tons of shade and beautiful, well maintained trails. The river runs through and is so peaceful. Bathrooms have fish toilets and are clean. Garbages are emptied often so they are never too full! Love this place and visit every year!!
Look forward to going every year!!
