This is a great little spot for primitive camping. It’s cheap at $13 per night per site. It’s clean with access to restrooms and a lake. Their is a dock at the lake as well as trails. They have several boats in several styles: fishing boats, pedal boats, row boats, and kayaks. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the office was closed, so we weren’t able to rent any of the boats. I will definitely come back. It’s a nice cheap, quiet, family friendly, pet friendly, primitive campground.
Friendly people and very quiet. I recommend camping and relaxing here
Great place to get away. Lots of trails. Love the primitive camping. Clean and well maintained restrooms. Nice little camp store. Friendly and helpful staff. Good security. Kayak rentals. Fishing. Fun.
Camp sites here are first come first served. They’re around $13/night and you have to leave money in the honor box. The campsites are pretty secluded so you’re only really close to one neighboring campsite. There’s a picnic table with a neat fire pit that has a grate for cooking. If you go early on a Friday, sites are pretty empty. Due to Covid though, they fill up quickly later in the day on the weekends in the fall. Everyone was quiet though and kept to themselves. There are two parking spots per site, additional parking is by the bathroom closest to the lake and it’s not far from sites on that side. There’s no swimming in the lake, but there’s access to it and it’s beautiful. The bathroom near the entrance (for women) has two toilets separated by a wall, so there’s not a ton of privacy in that one. The one nearest the lake is a single for both men and women and has a locking door. Overall, I’d definitely go back.
Cute area, lake is gorgeous. We went to a forest wedding, had a lot of fun. If I had a wife that liked camping...
