Customer Reviews
The manager guy is totally crazy, avoid at all costs, there are so many h nicer options in Kauai. After no responses to my calls I drive to the place to ask for a camping spot for the night. As the entrance is unmanned I walked in looking for a reception, meanwhile the owner arrived and started screaming at me and threatening to “get off his property”, insuring me and my friends.
The worst process imaginable despite reading about and understanding it extensively. Claimed emails went to spam and didn’t respond but they did the same to my partner who emailed and required multiple follow ups. Then they asked for details that had already been provided. Ultimately, we chose to move on elsewhere because of their gross incompetence. Fortunately, we didn’t have to deal with the angry man mentioned by others and won’t ever have to.
We were the only ones here, but the area is quiet. Great beach access, although not a great view of sunrise or sunset. Covered tables and a sink to clean up. Nice shower and toilet, but note that it's solar heated, so a cloudy day will not have hot water, nor will an early morning shower. The staff were friendly and nice.
Worst camping in the island, we send email for reservation week before and some calls but when we arrived she said finally no we don’t want you here! So we just ask for plan B or other camping close and his husband came with agression and insults. Lucky for him he stayed on its high terrace and we stayed calm for no make any troubles on the island !
We were turned away at the gate. I emailed the camp weeks in advance and confirmed that the dates were available. Our flight with delayed 3 hours with Southwest so by the time we got up there it was after 6pm and when I asked the attendant what he would recommend as an alternative option (since he insisted that we could not camp there) his exact words were "I recommend that you plan better" as if the delayed flight was our fault. He had zero empathy and was abrasive and rude from the start. I recommend camping up the road at the near by beach park which is what we did and saved ourselves $20.
Nice is Great! The instructions are clear and strict, if you are respectful and follow them you will have no problems. I visited the property in my second night in Kauai, and we later came back for our last night because we loved it so much. The property is amazing, we had a monk seal sleeping in the beach right next to us, showers are super clean and warm and the views are amazing!
