I'd give 20 stars if I could ! Best winter vacation place ever! We had a blast with the family, kids 8 and down, plus the grandparents! Such fun and wholesome activities available, and everyone can really be themselves while they explore and adventure in a safe and welcoming environment. Ice skating, sledding, roller skating, beautiful sports gym, rock climbing, game room , not to mention the beautiful and spacious cabin!

We have been coming to the YMCA for years. Our two young kids have grown up coming here and we have a blast with both the summertime and winter activities. Staff is always friendly. Beautiful location. The key is to stay in the cabins and not the hotel rooms. Only wish is that they would clean the cabins better. It’s hit or miss whether or not you get a nice updated one, or a dirty grimy old one. I get they are cabins but the price tag of almost $300 a night you would expect better. Also if you drive around they are building tons of new cabins all the time, it’s packed during the summer, so the place is making plenty of money.

We brought our grandsons up to the YMCA last week!! It was perfect!! It was the week before Christmas so we had the place to ourselves! The cabin was fantastic and very clean. The ice skating was so much fun! They spent hours out there!! The pool was perfect. They had a blast!! They also had the best time in the gym! So much to do. The roller skating was closed which was a bummer . Our cabin did not have a TV so we played so many games‼️Everyone was so kind and helpful! We plan on going back again.

We came for a family trip. 4 adults and 5 children. The house was very cozy, warm and had everything we needed. There was a little dust on the floor of the rooms and dog hair in a Armchairs, but overall everything was fine. YMCA is amazing, it has a lot of activities, we did a bow and arrow, we played in the games room, in the pool and we did slide and skating.

This is the second time I've stayed in one of the cabins at YMCA of the Rockies and I love the peace and solitude of coming here in the off season. During this trip, I knew that I would need to have a Zoom meeting at 10:00 on the day of my departure. When making the reservation, I requested an 11:00 checkout as the normal checkout is 10:00. I was told to call the night before my departure to make sure nobody would be checking into my cabin but that it shouldn't be a problem as it's the off season. When I checked in, I mentioned the late checkout and was again told to call the night before my departure to make sure that would be okay. As instructed, I called the front desk tonight to request a late checkout in the morning. To complicate matters, Denver (where I am driving to) currently has a Winter Storm Warning. I spent the day carefully studying the weather and determined that there will be a break in the snow from 11:00 - 3:00, making that the safest time to travel. Because of my meeting, if I am unable to check out at 11:00, I would need to leave around 7:00 to make sure I could get home in time given the unsafe weather conditions at that time, or I would need to check out after my meeting at 11:00 - the safest time in the next few days to travel. Unfortunately, when I called the front desk, I was told that I would have to call back in the morning (even though I'd been told to call the night before checkout). I explained that I would need to know this evening as I would likely need to book a hotel in town if they weren't able to give me an 11:00 am checkout. The woman I spoke with was very dismissive and said that was their policy. I asked to speak with the desk manager, knowing that employees often don't have the power to bend the rules. Ryan came on the line and reiterated that I'd have to call back in the morning. I said that, given the weather conditions and the fact that I would likely need to book a hotel if I couldn't get a late checkout, surely they could let me know tonight. He again repeated that I'd have to call in the morning. I pointed out that it appeared that no more than 20 cabins were currently occupied, so it wasn't like they were fully booked. He just kept repeating that I'd have to call back in the morning in a very dismissive tone. My first problem is that I was told when I made the reservation, and told by the front desk when I checked in, that I should call the night before my scheduled checkout, not the morning of. My second problem is the callousness of choosing not to give someone peace of mind when there is a Winter Storm Warning and about 90% of the cabins are currently empty.
