Kinda fun to stay at the YMCA. They had some good activities and good meals. The rooms were rough, though. The bunk beds were rickety and seemed as if they'd break. And the bathroom wasn't much better. Everything else is great, just watch out for the rooms.

Wouldn’t come back. Came for tubing and swimming. Everything was closed, had to pay for other activities. Rooms are outdated with stains on furniture. Beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Fortunately we live in Denver. I would have been more upset if I traveled from out of state for “included “ activities that were unavailable. How is the tubing hill closed with over a foot of snow on the ground.

The good, the bad and the ugly of our stay at Snow Mountain Ranch! I'll start with the good and preface by saying my husband and I and our dog stayed here for 4 days. The Good - Scenery and location The Bag and the Ugly -This cabin was way overpriced in my opinion for what we received. We paid just shy of $1,000 for three nights. -Check in is quite late, 6PM. Check out is relatively early, 10 AM -Cabins are very dated, musty, gross and uncleanly. -My husband and I were only given 1 towel for our 4 days. It was very tiny and scratchy. -Bed and linens were not comfortable, scratchy and hard -Toilet paper is barley .5 ply if that. Holding it up, it's see through. -Hair dryer smelt of burning fire so did not use as we didn't want a fire. -On that note, the fire alarms kept going off when we would make breakfast because the oven isn't clean and smokes. Heard other cabins having the same issue for breakfast. -The public toilets by the downhill tubing were disgusting with feces everywhere, plugged toilets, no toilet paper, no soap - Maps given didn't have accurate information - campfire pits not located on map were they said they were (commons 2) and same with the mountain bike trails (didn't connect and weren't as stated). -The Bike trails were unusable with downed trees and overgrown foliage. -The "amenities" we wanted to use were extra or closed. To have a fire, you need to rent for $30 and they will give you wood for 20 minutes. There's also no seating at the fire pit so we had to sit on the ground. To buy more, it was $10 for another 20 minutes. When we got to fire pit, there was a ton of wood in the forest on the ground we could have use used they could have told us about. The dog park we wanted to use Saturday morning was closed. -Staff didn't have general information we were asking and we kept getting transferred around. At one point, someone booked us a campfire at an entirely different YMCA. -When we checked in to get our key to cabin, it took 45 minutes. -To charge extra for our dog every night when already paying for a pet friendly cabin is a bit ridiculous especially considering how gross our cabin was and how much the $75 fee was. -The cabin guestbook had been long filled up and not replaced in a very long time so others can't add. -Charged wrong card after specifically asking not to use a certain one, required multiple on file. -We were advised by others prior to our trip to not eat at the facilities due to food not being cooked/food poisoning issues so we packed our food in, so can't speak to food quality ourselves. We will definitely NOT be staying here again or advising others to do so either. Scenery was gorgeous, though!

This place is awesome! Fantastic location and super fun activities available for all ages and interests. Our group was in three kinds of accommodations - a 5 bedroom house (Three Sons), a 3 bedroom house (Fox Den), and one of the lodge rooms. The bedrooms rooms were clean and tidy, and the living room furnishings comfortable, but especially in the 5 bedroom house, pretty tired. Pillows and mattresses were fine - some better than others. The 3 bedroom house was MUCH newer and nicer - especially the kitchen (granite counters and a gas stove vs formica and electric in the 5 bedroom). But for the price, it is a great place to stay with a big group, and as long as your lodging expectations are reasonable, you will have a great time. Keep in mind it is a YMCA camp, not a 4 star resort. We loved being close to Winter Park (about 25 minutes), and having a SUPER nordic trail system right outside the door. We rented nordic equipment and kept it at the cabin. You can also rent snowshoes. The trails are expertly maintained for nordic or skating, and there is a whole separate trail system for snowshoeing. The rec center was fun, with a small roller skating rink!, basketball, pickleball, and volleyball courts, and an upper area with a couple pool tables, a couple ping pong tables, foosball and air hockey. All free for guests. The pool was closed, unfortunately. For more outdoor fun, there is a great tubing hill and ice skating rink - all included (you can borrow both ice skates and roller skates for free). The person staying in the lodge room ate meals at the main cafeteria, and really enjoyed it. We cooked our meals in the big cabin, and it was fairly well equipped, and had plenty of dishes and silverware. If you need more supplies or towels, just stop by the laundry by the rec center. We also left something in a room by accident, and the staff could not have been nicer about searching for it and making it super easy for us to pick up. A special thanks to Mason Granger, the services manager for his amazing patience and help! The interior photos may look a little weird because I took the people out, but you get the idea of what it looks like. This is the big cabin.

My experience at the YMCA was undoubtedly one of the most memorable in my life. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by a warm and energetic team that helped make each day special. The friendly environment and well-organized activities created a space where everyone felt motivated and connected. The excursions were moments of pure adventure and learning. Each trip was carefully planned, offering both leisure and the opportunity to explore new places and engage with different cultures. The guides and staff were always attentive and concerned with everyone's well-being, making each experience even more enjoyable and safe. The friendships I formed at the YMCA are, without a doubt, one of the greatest treasures I take with me. Working as a team and sharing moments with people from different backgrounds taught me so much about empathy, respect, and collaboration. The sense of community present at the YMCA showed me the true value of belonging to a group that supports one another. Finally, the YMCA was not just a place where I worked and participated in activities; it was a space for personal and social growth. The development opportunities I was offered helped me improve important skills, both for my personal and professional life. I highly recommend the YMCA to anyone looking for a unique experience filled with adventures, learning, and friendships that go beyond the time spent there. It is a place where the spirit of community and the desire to do good are present in every detail.
