Kids love going to yogibear. We just came back from a weekend trip and the kids had a blast. However since new ownership there are things advertised online that they no longer have. They do not have laser tag, inflatables, and the activities seem to be sparse now. They used to be every hour-two now it’s a few hours in between. The pool is definitely kid friendly and fun, you feel safe camping here with your children. One of our favorite spots with little ones. Arcade, barrel rides, and seeing the characters are always kids favorites.
We have been seasonals here for going on 3 years, and before that camper here. This place is magical…it is like a family. Everyone looks out for each other and helps each other. If there ever is a problem it is taken care of right away. My son is safe, and there is plenty to keep him occupied. Rob and Ashley keep this place in tip top shape always!
What I reserved and what I got were 2 different things. I paid extra so we could not be moved. I picked exactly what we needed for my family of 5, two with Autism and their needs. The cabin I picked was way in the back, away from all the noise and plenty of room for all of us to sleep and move around. We would have to go just behind the cabin for the washroom/shower. Yet, I get the call that due to maintenance issues, we were upgraded from a cabin with no bathroom to a tiny house with a bathroom and the same number of beds. This turned out to be a disaster, and we had to take my youngest son home because he could not take another night of literally being walked over, so the 3 in the bunk room could get to the bathroom. With the couch folded out and the table by the door, there was no way for any person in the bunk room to go to the bathroom unless you crawled under the bed or walked across it, hence walking across anyone that was sleeping in that bed. It would have been much better and safer to have been able to just walk out the door and go use a bath house. I was in the bunk room with the grandies, I too have physical limitations, so getting across that bed and my son was not easy. This tiny house was also up front where all the noise, music, pool, and kids were. I also booked this place because of advertised activities in their videos. The 3 top activities I booked for are no longer there or happening. 1. The main reason we all wanted to go was because they advertized a lazer tag game, 2. Was the big blow-up water slides and bounce house, 3rd was remote control car racing. They still advertise this as well as badminton, slip and slide bowling, volly ball, etc, that are no longer happening. This was a special surprise weekend for my oldest son, who is in the Army, and it was his 35th birthday as well as Fathers Day combo kind of surprise special weekend!!!!! I'll have to say it was a big flop and we won't be back!
This place is a favorite of my kids so we usually stay a couple times a year but not this year. Since it was sold the campground has gone downhill and the rates keep going up. Bathrooms are rarely clean, activities are canceled, inflatable water slide was just plain gone. There's no pride of ownership anymore. We started visiting privately owned campgrounds and have been much happier.
Camped there this week. Got to out site they had us on a spot that was completely mud. They switched out site to another. ( the next day they put another family in the same muddy spot even though there were plenty other available). The bathrooms were nasty the entire time. Showers had no hot water. The pool was good, kids like the barrel ride and tractor ride. The foam party was ok but not great. I’ve heard such great things about this campground for years. I was very let down by the overall experience. Luckily the kids enjoyed it for the most part.
