The location was super convenient. The road noise was very loud, which we never quite got used to. Service was mediocre at best. They offered a lot of activities, but only followed through with half. We went above and beyond to decorate, and never heard if anyone won. They have overly strict rules about the pool. My son had a mishap with his snorkel, and they kicked him out of the pool permanently. That was so unfair!! The washer died and we never got our $ back. Just a lot of annoying things. The only good is that the option to buy food made this location a will return. 3 out 5, and maybe we see next year.
This campground had been highly recommended to us. We did day passes during Labor Day weekend because we weren't sure we were going to like the campsites as there are no pictures available on their website. When I called to make the reservation, they made a mistake but quickly called back to resolve it. That was appreciated. When we arrived, there was no line, so we were able to get through pretty quickly. The pool and water park areas were small but still enjoyable. The game room was decent, but the pool table was missing some of the balls. There weren't as many activities as I had thought. Not much was going on in the craft area, either. My kids got a bit hungry, so we decided to get some food. My daughter waited over 20 minutes at the counter after ordering her chicken tenders only to be told they had run out (at 3 p.m.). Then she had to wait again for an individual pizza that was mediocre at best. The lifeguard? Walked around the water park when my child was the only one there, but sat down (not even paying attention) when multiple other kinds showed up. When we were done, we decided to drive around to see the campsites. Frankly, they were horrible. Absolutely no space between you and your neighbors. Most sites, if not all, were unleveld. Some sites were right by the road with no barrier for safety. For us, it is definitely not a good camping spot.
My family and I have been camping here since it opened back up after covid. We always have a great time and my kids love all of the activities.
Highly recommend. After seeing some comments I was worried but once we got here and saw all the positive things the staff is doing I was highly impressed. Not only are they renovating while staying open they are making it a great experience for families. The pool, mini golf, and all the extra things they plan are definitely worth every penny! We stayed for a week and loved it. I definitely appreciated the staff as we have a special needs child and the staff were so amazing with her. Sadly our issues were with other guests. Adults and children! Which is sad. Just because a child looks different doesn’t mean they have a disease or are different. Adults need to do better. There were a few language barrier issues but if you take the time and are patient you can get past that. We’ve been to many Jellystones and this is by far the best we’ve been to.
We stayed here twice this past season and had a fantastic experience both trips! We stay in the tent sites and love it. Met one of the owners our first time there as a family and she was extremely friendly. They’re understanding if you want to change your location (as long as nobody is booked in that spot they let you) the late check out time (noon) makes it a nice easy stress free morning to get the family fed and everything packed up. Bathrooms are routinely kept and the campground is clean. Can’t comment on the waterpark because I haven’t been there yet but we look forward to many more trips and memories up there!
