This place is just amazing. The staff is always friendly and just does a great job with activities and making us feel welcome. My daughter loves the activities and so do we. The water park is very nice and clean. We had some friends rent a cabin while we were in the camping area. They had some issues with their cabin that were addressed quickly and professionally. Our family has such a great time here were are planning on going to a seasonal site!!
Our family loves this place. This will be our first year with a seasonal RV spot. The reason we picked this particular, Jelly Stone was the friendly staff and cleanliness. I would suggest to anybody with kids to spend a weekend and you will be hooked.
We have camped here several times and it’s a nice campground…here’s the but.. I made a reservation on February 7th for April 25th . I had to call on February 23rd and cancel the reservation due to my husband finding out he now has a military obligation and will not be able to camp that weekend. I asked if bc it was for a military obligation that they would wave the cancellation fee not to mention it was canceled very far in advance. They said no! Thank you for being understanding of my husband’s service to this country. Enjoy your extra $30. 😡
We booked a 3 night stay in a cabin to enjoy the campground and lake activities with our family. We were met by a note on the door stating that the lake was closed as we were entering to check in. No other notification was sent to me prior to arrival. We were given no options nor comped anything after being told the lake- including the beach, inflatables, kayaks, and paddle boards would all be closed for our entire stay due to acidic water. The blow up pillows that kids can jump on were also broken and not usable. The girls in the General Store said they have been broken for some time. The cabin was HOT upon arrival and didn’t cool down until about 2:00am. There were fleas in the carpeted area in the loft and then 10+ fleas in our pool bag that was on the screened in front porch. We did not have any animals in the cabin with us. I have called and attempted to get some sort of compensation for the terrible disappointment we experienced with the lake closure, as the inflatables with our kids and extended family was the only reason we chose this location, but I have never received a phone call back nor any attempts from the workers while we were there. Book with caution.
The weather ended up being nonstop raining while we were here. Not their fault, but we were there mid week and half the campground was empty. Our firepit was flooded and I asked if we could use a firepit at an empty spot - just so we could cook. They said we could move, but we'd need to pay the difference. Of course, this isn't what I asked for, but that was what they offered. It just felt like an attempt to find another way to get money out of me. I felt this place was over-priced, especially since the water obstacle course is $18/person (it isn't worth it, by the way) and all their services close at 7. If you want to tent camp, they only have 5 tent spots, and while they're all lake side, the ground is pretty much going to always be somewhat saturated, and the tent spots are small and cramped together. The pool, water slides, and water play area was the only thing we enjoyed during our stay.
This is our second, and probably last trip here. The campground, as a whole, is nice. Kids love the beach and splash pad. However, it rained here the first night. There was a loud beeping sound. We realized it was some sort of alarm for the sewer. As it rained the sewers hook-ups began overflowing and sewage was running through our site. Out large camping may that our grandchildren play on was soaked with sewage. I cannot believe the health department allows this. The bathrooms were dirty last year and dirtier this year. Showers had standing water, toilets. Clearly there is a serious sewer problem here. When we entered the pool area we were told we needed to go back to check in to get wrist bands. Why would they not be given out when we check in?? Out second night they had a Rage party that started at 9:00. As our little ones tried to sleep out camper shook with a loud base. It was very disruptive and overall unpleasant. Our son and his wife stayed in one of the cabins, which are very high priced for as primitive as they are. The cabins are absolutely filthy. Cleaniliness does not seem to be a priority here. Very disappointing because this could be a really great campground. It’s too much money for dirty cabins and sewage running through your site.
My family and I stay every year. We look forward to our reunion as it's a long-standing tradition :) This trip we decided to stay in the glamping tent for the first time. The location was great! Within a short walk to all of the planned activities and the park area. The tents are nice and spacious, although a little hard to keep a consistent temperature. We did notice that under the beds wasnt properly cleaned. Several soda bottles and trash littered under each of them. I'm sure during the regular season this issue will be more thoroughly cleaned. The staff are helpful, kind and thoughtful!
The area was beautiful, we loved the camping feel and being able to fish outside of our cabin. All of the staff were super nice and helpful! Always waved when they drove by! There was a large group of kids that seemed to always be unsupervised. They were rude to our children multiple times even after asking them to stop. At one point they told my child to “get off” the jumping pillow. Another time they told my nephew to go away from a playground, when we went over with him, they ran away. They did not have adults with them to talk to.. I wish there was more supervision happening or having a rule of young kids not wandering on their own all day. It made activities less fun for sure and my our kids uncomfortable and feeling bad. We got an extra cleaning fee and unsure why.. the trash was not picked up the previous day so there was not a place to put the bag we had when we left. Rather than leaving it outside, we left it inside. I am assuming that was the extra $50 we were charged? I wish there were an explanation for that. We did the dishes and everything else was spotless so idk. The general store had terrible hours. One day they were not open at all. We had gone the previous day and talked to the worker about coming back the following day and she never mentioned it being closed. So that was a bummer and we didn’t get souvenirs. Overall, I would go back. Now that I know hours are weird, I would plan accordingly. Hopefully no mean unsupervised kids next time.
Jump pillow, lake obstacle course, general store, splash pad, 2 water slide, public pool, events, golf cart rental, kayak, paddle bikes, fishing, cabins, tent camping available, shelter houses, events weekend, cartoon cafe, beach, playground. We took pictures and had donuts with booboo. i stayed in pool house comes with washer in dryer, daily trash pick up, bring blankets, pool not usable, nice staff, bring your own soap, trash bags and toiletries. Did build a bear. Download app to tell events free or at charge. Called for more towels were sent quickly by house keeping. Requested out of commission pool covered as we had several kids they came quickly. Had family of 18 accomodated. Great idea for any ages. Family friendly.
We had a terrific stay during the end of April. Our site was lovely and the worker were all incredibly accommodating, especially Kathy. She was working at the general store when we asked if we could purchase some marshmallows for a campfire. They were all out but after she closed the shop, she brought us a bag of marshmallows from her personal stash! So sweet of her to think of us and make a super special experience for us even more special!! Thank you all!!
