Yokum's Vacationland

Yokum’s is filled with an incredible group of kind people. Melissa, Betty, Sam, and Luke were incredibly helpful when we needed it most. Relieving us from a serious pinch; they helped us get part of our group unstuck from a snowbank 20 min away, stayed with us hours after closing, and helped us with a place to stay. The cabin was cozy, clean, and the kind family history could be felt. Next time, we will skip the house-booking apps and plan for Yokums first.

This location is situated directly next to Seneca Rocks, it's perfectly nestled in the valley and has an absolutely stunning view of the rocks. The food from their kitchen hits the spot after hiking, is reasonably priced, and the staff is beyond friendly. In times past we've driven straight past here to other places but I'm glad we stopped on this trip, we will be making this our regular pit stop for food while traveling in the area.

I only needed a place to tent camp for 1 night. It was only $10. Great spot with bathroom and showers. Rustic but worked. The people at Yocums were the best!

Store - The store cashiers Callie and Debbie made ya feel like family and were so helpful in helping us find the swimming hole I had been searching for! From the homemade banana bread at the checkout to the bouncy ball pinball machine, the store was a homerun! Food- Wish we had tried the pizza at Harper's Restaurant, made fresh! Even though the food at Yokum's Restaurant starts frozen, it's prepared with so much love, it almost tastes homemade! The amount of bacon and size of their Bacon Cheeseburgers surpasses anything from fastfood. Motel - Melissa at check in greets you with the warmest welcome, love that they go by first names for the reservations. If you're into modern, this may not be the place for you but it gave that get away from the city and welcome neighbor local love we were looking for. Internet/wifi was a little spotty but considering they are the only ones around who offer it, not complainging about time off phones and enjoying the beautiful view from our porch swing. Having 2 restaurants and 2 general stores on site was amazing! Location, location, location - we were driving distance to Seneca Caverns, Spruce Knob Mountain, Smoke Hole. But walking distance to Seneca Rocks and the Discovery Center. Nothing beat the views from every side of this place. Family friendly, amazing staff, comfortable rooms, best atmosphere and the nicest folks you'll ever meet.

You can't expect much from small business mountain town hotels. But this was nicer than any similar establishments. We enjoyed using this as a base.
