The family that owns this place are phenomenal. Very respectful very helpful. They let us check in as soon as we got here. They accommodated us with our trailer and truck. They were so generous and nice. I will definitely back. Every time we come near Helen now we’re stopping camp here always it’s literally a seven minute ride from Helen, Georgia and their very clean bathroom very great campground. Very clean place.
THIS IS NOT A BIG RIG FRIENDLY CAMPGROUND!!!!! Or at least the location they put us in.. Site 70, a big pull through! Great however to get to that site, you must go up a pretty steep grade, then pull on to a decline which you will bottom your rig out!! We have a 41foot 5th wheel and did damage to our rig and truck!! We had no business being in that situation, but by the time you realize it ,you are already committed! Make sure you know your exit point as well because both options weren't ideal either! Praise God we made it out without more damage!! The roads to the campground loops are dirt so ,because it had snowed a few days prior, they were COMPLETE MUD!!! Total mess! The ladies at the front desk are very friendly, however they should not be putting Big rigs up in that area!!!
This is the second time we have camped here and both times the entire experience was very smooth and easy. The campsites are very nice and level. They are outside of town so it's not terribly busy but close enough to Helen that you can be there within a few moments. Beautiful spot will continue to camp here.
The sites are roomy and easy to pull in and out with room for parking an extra car. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The family events are welcoming and fun. We played bingo, and each of the 3 of us who played won at least once, and the prizes were nice. The ice cream social was very well done. The facilities are all nice and well kept. We will visit again when we travel to Helen in the future.
The staff was very friendly and helpful when booking the site as well as when booking up our car when leaving. We did not use the amenities or activities as we were in the area to visit family but the park was well maintained. Plenty of travelers passing through but it was quiet and quite nice with all of the trees. We will definitely be back.
