This national park is GORGEOUS! The drive up to the park along the roads hugging cliff edges is a little scary if you're not fond of heights, but the park is totally worth the stressful drive. It's like being transported into a different world when you're in Yosemite park. The scale of the trees and rocks and cliffs leave you feeling very small and the views are awe-inspiring! There are so many trails and the park is so vast, you'd definitely need at least several days to explore it all. I'd recommend planning out which trails and areas you'd like to explore ahead of time. There were restrooms available in rest areas or sometimes at the parking lots at the start of a trail - just note where they're at on the maps if you'd like to use a toilet before getting caught in the woods without one. Take a lot of water with you and stay hydrated, it was so hot out during the days we visited and depending on the area of the park you're in, we didn't see a lot of water refill areas. Definitely refill your bottles when you find a refill spot at a rest/lodging area. Paved areas where cars would drive and some viewpoints we saw were wheelchair accessible, but getting a parking spot near a viewpoint can be difficult/a bit of a wait depending on the time of day. A lot of dirt/grass trails in the woods we walked could be quite rocky and were not wheelchair accessible, so this would definitely be something to check ahead of time for specific areas you'd like to visit if accessibility is a concern. Visiting this park was an amazing experience and I'll definitely be going again!
A wonderful place to visit ! Of course to fully enjoy this beautiful park you need to stay there for a few days and walk around all the places and visit as much as possible! Unfortunately we had a one-day walk, but we got a lot of positive emotions.
Come and see this place there is a ton of things to see here. Currently some of the trails are closed and those are the ones to see two of the better waterfalls but no worries if you like to hike and explore there are many trails to go . Bring the whole family and enjoy. Starting in February there will be using the reservation system so keep an eye for that. Overall I highly recommend it for the whole family.
Great place to visit! I loved it so much! Traffic wasn’t so bad when we went, should’ve planned better and stayed longer. The view was amazing, great weather, great view, and great time to visit. If you’re in the military, definitely get the pass, it’s free to go inside National Parks with your ID. Some roads during winter time are definitely not accessible so you would have to hike or walk for a while but it’s worth it. Hopefully I can visit again during summer time!
I had the most wonderful experience at this park. We entered in the south entrance coming up the 41 from Fresno. From the moment you enter, the air feels different. It feels magical. From bubbling rivers to vast expanses of stone and Forrest. There is never a dull sight to be seen. Plenty of places to pull off and gaze at the magnificence of what Yosemite has to offer. Miles of trails that make you feel like you traveled to Narnia. It’s so easy to get lost in the enjoyment and before you know it, it’s dinner time and the sun is setting. If you need a break from life, work, or just a nice breath of fresh air; this is the spot to go. 10/10. Staring at half dome through the valleys and mountains is enough to make the strongest of heart weep like a newborn. I will definitely be visiting again.
