Rivers Edge Inn Resort

We took the family here after we decided to change our usual locations .we have stayed at most all places in Eminence and wanted to try something new. Everything was five star for what a river cabin should be. the unit was clean when we got here sheets pillow cases and Furniture was all clean. the AC was already on and worked very well plenty of hot water for whole family and good water pressure. great view from the deck to the river and had satellite television for the kids when it was raining .all of the appliances worked as advertised and the staff here was very friendly and accommodating. After reading through some of the other reviews I felt it only fair to leave an honest review of what to expect on ANY of the river cabins available at these camping locations .you have got to keep in mind you are not staying at a Ritz-Carlton .these cabins are made for fun especially for kids that means people coming in with wet shoes and clothing numerous times and leaving wet clothes towels and shoes lying around so you were going to get a little bit of the river feel in any cabin regardless of which company has them. but this one has been kept very well will come here again.

Though long and hard about leaving a review or not leaving a review, as a teenager many years ago we paddled past this place and thought " that's how the rich and famous live up there, we are gonna stay there someday!". Organized a large family trip from 5 different states. Several months after booking, they called me and asked if they could upgrade us to a cabin as they had a large family gathering wanting to book the main building, fine no problem ill take the upgrade. Upon arriving, the office was closed. My brother who was in another cabin advised me the key may be in an envelope on the door, this was not communicated to me by management, however there wasn't an envelope on the door and it's dark out. Just by chance the management was driving past and noticed us standing outside the office, Key missing, no backup key, no plan. So off he goes comes back with a crowbar and an angle grinder, pretty good customer service i think. Other cabin people poked their head out due to the noise of the grinder. Slept the night with no lockable door, wet spot in the middle of the carpet floor, musty smell, no batteries in the remote, and no coffemaker as listed, and no hot water available. Doorknob was replaced by the next day, a new coffeemaker was placed on the step, batteries replaced, however we went all 3 days with ice cold shower in Cabin A. They did their best to take care of us when we brought it up. All in all we loved our stay, but things were less than organized. The remainder of my family all had positive experiences and enjoyed their stay.

This place is under new management and I can tell the people who took it over truly care about the place! My boyfriend and I got the fireplace and spa cabin and it was so nice! Everything was clean, lots of wood provided and the view was incredible. The jacuzzi tub was a perfect end to our hike, we went to ally spring which was recommend by Cindy at the main office. It was their Valentine’s Day weekend so the inside was decorated with flowers and candy and there was an amazing steak dinner provided. Doug showed us his horses which were beautiful 💕Rick and Tammy took us on the tour around the place! Everyone made us feel so welcome🤗 Honestly anything we needed they were so accommodating! A weekend wasn’t enough time but don’t worry we will be back!!

You have got to be kidding me. I paid for a hotel room over the phone four hours ago. Over $200 for the room. I was told that the room key would be left in an envelope at the office door. My son and I arrived at midnight after driving three hours to get here. Ther is no key. No envelope. I walked around to each hotel room to see if she left it on the room door...nope. I've called several times (straight to a rude voicemail). I'm sitting here burning up with my son in the van as we speak. No bathroom, no way to keep our food cold. This is absolutely insane. Not only do I expect a full refund, I will be taking this as far as I need to, so that our vacation being ruined doesn't matter anymore. I'm completely outraged and disappointed. My husband and daughter are supposed to be coming here tomorrow morning. I'm too exhausted to make the drive home. And I don't even know if Irma will be here in the morning as it is a Sunday.

We’ve been staying here with a group of three or four families for years and have experienced both the old and new management, but we will not be staying here again. One family’s air conditioning didn’t work, and water spewed out of their toilet every time it was flushed. The management didn’t fix it or offer a different cabin, they were basically just like… Sorry. They charge 50 bucks to check in an hour or two early, so we waited around until 3 PM, and then found that the key that had been left for us did not work. I walked around the whole place looking for someone to let me in to no avail. The manager was hours away and couldn’t help me. Finally, I just went into the laundry room and took the housekeepers key off the board of keys, otherwise we never would’ve gotten into our cabin. there was a huge, stinking full trashcan in front of our cabin, and cigarette butts scattered around everywhere. The manager said someone would come and clean it, but we were there for three days and no one ever did. The river is beautiful, and it’s a great location, but there are some major problems with management and employees. I hope they can turn this place around.
