During my trip to Banff, I had the pleasure of camping near Moraine Lake, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. The vibrant blue color of the lake’s water, surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Ten Peaks, made for a perfect photography setting. I woke up early to catch the first light of dawn, and the soft glow of the morning sun hitting the mountains and the lake was breathtaking. If you're an early riser, the mornings in Banff are a photographer's dream as the light creates a warm, golden hue over the landscape.
3. Zion National Park: Capturing the Desert Landscape
If you prefer a more rugged and dramatic landscape, Zion National Park in Utah is a fantastic option. One of my favorite moments in Acadia was photographing the sunrise at Cadillac Mountain, which is one of the first places in the United States to see the sunrise. I had the whole mountain to myself, and the tranquility of the moment made it even more special. The best time to visit the Smokies is in the spring or fall when the colors are either bursting with new growth or showing off vibrant autumn hues.
