This hotel consistently exceeds expectations across various dimensions. Its prime location adjacent to Universal Studios, combined with the comfortable and spacious accommodations, contributes to a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The housekeeping staff is exceptionally attentive and personable, ensuring that the rooms are maintained to the highest standards. Furthermore, the reception team exemplifies professionalism and engagement, significantly enhancing the overall guest experience. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting the general manager during her routine tour of the property. She was not only friendly and welcoming but also deeply engaged in every aspect of the hotel. It is evident that her leadership style sets a positive example for her team, resulting in the outstanding service that guests experience.

The staff were super friendly! I definitely don’t think it was worth what I paid. Our room smelled like a sewer the whole three days we were there. The TV in our room (204) was broken. No sound, smashed at the top, and we couldn’t even connect to the WiFi. The room was also kind of dirty when we arrived, floors were so gross. The hallway and elevator could also use some TLC. Otherwise a nice walk to Universal!

The location to Universal is fantastic. We had a dog barking on our floor and the hotel itself is in some rough condition. Although they were renovating at the time so maybe some of that will be improved. We also did not have hot water in the morning. I recommend it if you want the location for sure.

Do NOT stay here. I booked directly through the hotels website, pre paid and tried to reschedule and was told no, unless I wanted to forfeit the entire amount. Then when we arrived, they added on extra amenities fees that were complete BS, not needed and mandatory. The room was supposedly just cleaned, but they clearly skipped sweeping and mopping the entire floor. The AC didn't work properly and we had to get up several times in the night to constantly fiddle with it. The walls are beyond paper thin and we had to hear the family next to us all night long, plus anyone else who walked by. The shower drain was backed up and left us standing in a pool of water. Only positive is the location to Universal Studios isn't bad.

Our stay at The BLVD Hotel & Studios Universal – Hollywood was deeply disappointing and, honestly, felt like a scam. Here are the main issues we encountered: 1. Rude Staff: From the front desk during check-in to the cleaning staff, the service was unprofessional and dismissive. 2. Safety Concerns: Homeless individuals were roaming the hallways, one even followed us, making us feel unsafe throughout our stay. 3. Unreasonable Fees: We were charged $60 for parking, with half labeled as a convenience/incidental fee. This was not made clear upfront. 4. Dirty Rooms: The room was dusty, and it seemed like animals had been in it before. I experienced severe allergies because of this. 5. Plumbing Issues: The toilet flooded on the very first flush, and the shower also had flooding issues. While the cleaning lady did unclog the toilet, this is not the resolution one expects from a hotel. 6. Outdated Gym: The gym equipment appeared to be from the 80s or 90s, most of it nonfunctional, with no weights available. 7. No Food Options: There was no breakfast, and the advertised bar turned out to be purely decorative. 8. Nonfunctional WiFi: Despite showing as connected, the WiFi did not work on my laptop. I was forced to work from my phone, which had poor reception. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. It was unsafe, unsanitary, and poorly maintained. None of these issues were resolved during our stay. I strongly urge management to address these concerns. I am requesting a full refund, including all reward points and fees paid (parking, reward points, and any additional charges). This stay was unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
