Location location location! Not the best quality rooms but if you get a room facing the ocean definitely worth it. Katie helped get us checked in super accommodating and gave us great recommendations on what places to check out while we were here. When I requested an ocean view she did not hesitate to put us in one. Our room was very spacious and had a living room that was separated from the actual bedroom perfect for families if you want to put your kids to bed and close the door and relax and watch movies in the living room it’s great for that. The ac barely worked which was frustrating they tried to fix it but was unable to. Cracks in the windows, dust in the vents, bug on the wall, beds aren’t comfortable, and overall needs a good makeover but you can’t beat the price to be that close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. I do know they will be remodeling this and sure will be charging more eventually. Free breakfast included which was surprisingly really good for hotel food! My main reason for this review is for the staff and their customer service literally every person we came in contact with was so nice and helpful! We will definitely be back but after it’s remodeled.

We had a great stay at The Hampton Inn & Suites in San Clemente. The front desk attendant Jessica was above and beyond helpful. She knew the area well and helped us easily find nearby dining. The breakfast was good and Jessica made sure we knew the hours so as not to miss out. She was helpful understanding my needs with a sprained ankle and put us in a great room. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again when we come to visit.

I stayed at this hotel for my best friend’s wedding which was just yards away. The rooms were nice and clean. There were a lot of us that stayed there and it was a great experience. The complimentary breakfast was actually pretty tasty. The 2 front desk ladies I chatted with were both really friendly and accommodating, not to mention, personable. I only remember one of their names- Jessica was extremely helpful as I haven’t stayed in many hotels so she pointed me in the right direction with all my questions. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I only live a mile away from this hotel, so if I didn’t enjoy it. I’d definitely had gone home haha. 10/10 loved it!

We stayed here last week for my friends wedding. Jessica made our stay and was beyond helpful, professional, and attentive! The hotel needs a lot of work but the beds were comfortable. If you want a great experience ask for Jessica!

We got married nearby last month and so many of our guests stayed her, that they were sold out for the night. One of our guests, checked in at 1 pm on the day of the wedding, went to our ceremony and reception, but when they returned to the room they had paid for, their stuff was gone and someone else's stuff was there. When they went to reception to find out what happened, the person at the desk said they were new and didn't know what to do. They finally found our guests things in the managers office and then were told they were sold out and there was no place to put them. They didn't offer to put them up at one of the other hotels nearby. As a result, our guests had to drive home. We have tried to address with the hotel staff to understand what happened and to help our wedding guest get a refund. First, they didn't respond for almost a week after being contacted. Then I was told they were reaching out to our wedding guest. Upon speaking with our wedding guest yesterday and today, she said she was told it would take 6-8 weeks to get a refund for the room she purchased but couldn't stay in and she had only received one email from the hotel offering a free night, but they are soon starting renovations, so couldn't use the night until after May. The hotel staff has indicated they have been trying to call our wedding guest - she has gotten no such call. Do not stay here! Before the wedding I tried to book a block of rooms. The contract had spelling errors, there was no savings and they would only process with my credit card, even though guests were paying for their own rooms. They are completely incompetent and as evidenced by the person working at reception that night, they ALL need additional training to understand how to treat their customers.
