Great, quiet, shady RV park close to the fairgrounds, town, restaurants, and access to the freeway. The manager was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Many of the sites are pull- through and things are quite level. There is a nice big grassy dog park and lots of green grass around the property. Trees are mature, and though there are full-timers here, it definitely doesn't detract at all. We'll be back for sure!
The RV park was exceptionally beautiful. Everything appeared very clean. The pool was small but well-maintained, as were the sanitary facilities. Some furniture urgently needs to be replaced. The management is only reachable during limited hours. The man who claimed to be the owner when asked was incredibly rude and ruined our visit. We will not be coming back.
My initial meeting with John the manager was cordial, nice, enthusiastic. I was greeted with the promise I could stay a month and if I wanted two weeks or more it would be no problem. My visa card was given that moment for the next day. When I stopped by because email said I was being charged something different John straightened out mistake. To my surprise tho my spot had been rented out wasn't available for four more days by giving him my card information I thought my site was good. Having my trailer pulled down from the mountains I now had to find a place to put it till then and inform driver that was being paid to do this I had to stop him from delivering to here. Showed up Monday, driver pulled in he had lost awning on travel here but torn cleanly off and cost of replacing not to bad. He had put cover to a/c in trailer so would not be damaged while traveling. John stormed up to site did not respond when I said Hi and was trying to explain what happened he just stormed around trailer said it was not up to his liking and he wanted me gone as a soon as month up. I didn't understand why he would not speak or listen to me. Apparently he didn't bill my card for another 5 to 7 days I do mobile banking thought his had gone thru he came by yelling at me would not listen all I had to do was call employer and have them pay difference from what was on my card, John had given me two hrs or he was having my RV towed of course I walked in paid and tried to make amends see what the problem was and apologize for whatever I could have done. His response was just too much to talk about. When it was time to move I texted him the day before my truck was in shop and I wouldn't have until Monday this was Friday I said I would come in and take care of payment but wanted to let him know. Again I was threatened with having my trailer towed out of here until I spoke with owners. Of course he told them I never reached out to him, he told them that he had to approach me well I did this by email but owners didn't even read it. I've noticed I'm single female he treats me with no respect whatsoever but runs around talking with every man in here. A couple of these gentlemen have RVs that look the same or worse than mine faded, awning torn shreaded, stuff all around their house space. I have never said this before but I feel like discrimination against me was fun for him. There was no excuse for his actions. I'm quiet, I work, my two children are adults who are quiet waiting for me to get off our pet is a ten year old female mutt I pick up her poop and she never barks unless you knock on door. And she's only maybe 25lb we have been the best of neighbors pleasant always saying hi or waving. He hates women? He hates native American my son,? I truly tried everything to find out the problem to fix things to get along there was no reason at all for this treatment and I'm not over this or finished with checking on legalities of this. Just glad I have my emails to prove he tells a story to make himself look like he has said and done nothing. The park itself is beautiful, clean and quiet. If not for management I would give five stars. Being treated like I'm not worth speaking to and that my words aren't truthful and my equipment is subpar no I will not let this be just dropped.
A great place if you need a quick layover or somewhere lengthy to stay. I read some negative reviews so I was a little apprehensive pulling my 43ft alliance paradigm. Very close to many amenities and centrally located in Redding. Paula was great. Price was competitive. I would 100% stay again.
Stayed at the park for 7 days. They have a good rate and included electric and propane refills. We parked in a gravel lot (67) the rocks were bigger and piled up, luckily no issues leveling out. Full hookups, wifi, picnic table all worked good. Laundry room was nice, had quite a bit of dog hair in the washer we used so had to clean it out prior to using. Pool was broken but the dog run was nice since we have 3. Nice, up-kept, clean park with friendly neighbors and staff/owner. Didn’t have to worry about looting at this park or the homeless. Cute small town and about 3hours from any big adventure (ocean, redwoods, SF, etc.) My complaints: the spots were a little tight when pulling in due to people parking on the road/ not properly in their lot we are a big rig (45ft) understandably it’s going to be tight so smaller campers would be fine. The noise (which isn’t the parks fault) Sirens are constant 3-4x a night, i’m unsure if we’re near a firehouse. Dogs barking on the property behind the park constantly. And either fireworks or loud bang keep popping off through the nights. The park doesn’t feel sketchy but the surrounding sounds are suspicious. I’d stay at this park again it was one out of many in upper CA that are clean, affordable, and returned our phone calls.
