Customer feedback highlights both the charm and challenges of staying with us. Many guests praise our easy check-in process, well-equipped units, and stunning natural surroundings. The isolation from city life is a welcome escape for those seeking tranquility. One guest described their stay as "wonderful," emphasizing the accuracy of room descriptions and the value for money.
However, some visitors have shared concerns about misleading online images and a decline in property maintenance following ownership changes. We encourage you to plan your visit carefully and review recent reviews to ensure your experience aligns with your expectations.

Pictures that show amenities on websites are wrong, the fireplaces that should be warming the room and have a sign on them that say caution hot, do not even have get warm, was told they are just for looks. I’ve been staying here for years, sadly this is my last stay. I was informed they were bought out and I can already see the place declining. I’ve booked my future stays at jimney peaks resort, I’ll take the loss in the pool to have accurate descriptions of the rooms
Just stayed for 2 nights in building 5. Our stay was wonderful! Easy check in, great amenities and everything in the unit! Kitchen with all the things needed to make it like home! While somewhat isolated, 15 minutes one way gives you Pittsfield and all you are in need of! Spectacular fall foliage views! Forget about a hotel! Stay here for the same rates! Thanks Vacation Village!
Very roomy. Even B unit has nice living room, large bath. Excellent and attentive staff. Large heated pool, hot tub, plenty of grills. Lovely view. Conciere presentation excellent. Plenty to do. Activities through week.
Most of the staff at this resort are friendly and professional. One of the front desk people ("Jerod") is horrible. To wit: I checked in at 4:00pm and was told that the room was not ready. I've never had that happen, but I understand that things happen. Here's the rub: the guy just completely ignored me and went on to the next guest. I just stood there, expecting him to say SOMETHING, but he didn't look at me or acknowledge me in any way. He helped two other guests before I said something, asking "what am I supposed to do? Do you want me to stand here...wait for a phone call, or what?" And his response was "there's nothing I can do; the room isn't ready." The waiting isn't the problem; it's the lack of professionalism. My family works in the hospitality business, so I have some experience in this area. I also frequently stay at RCI resorts, and this was by far the WORST service I have ever encountered - from front service personnel or any other member of the resort staff. I talked to the manager, who apologized and refunded the resort fee. But the real issue here is accountability. Bad service is bad service, and this kind of unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. This guy not only represents this resort, but the "Vacation Village" brand as a whole. What a disgrace. This guy shouldn't be working in customer service, period. If no one holds him accountable, he'll continue to act this way. For reference, check my other reviews. I have always been complimentary of hotel/resort service. That should give you an idea of how BAD this guy really is. When bad behavior goes unchecked, nothing changes, and the behavior continues.
Not bad, not great. Room was mediocre; reasonably clean but dated and in a poor state of repair. Queen bed was very comfortable but the pull-out sofa was awful. Kitchenette was poorly equipped. No restaurant or store in the resort but there are vending machines. Kids loved the pools and activities. Staff was courteous and professional. The surrounding area is nice and there is plenty to do. No timeshare sales pitch so that's a positive!
