Home2 Suites by Hilton Clermont

Not my favorite Home 2 Suites I have stayed at. The one in Winter Garden is much nicer and just a few minutes away. Really strong fake floral smell throughout the hotel. Have stayed here on 4 different occasions, not my 1st choice.

First off we booked from out of town for a family wedding and was just based off reviews and price. We arrived from out of town Thursday morning after being traveling for over 8 hrs and jet lagged. We were greeted by the hotel manager and even though we arrived 5 hours prior to check in after explaining we were from out of town and our family exhausted he allowed us to check in all 3 rooms after just advising to give his team 30-40 minutes to get the rooms ready. So we went to eat and by the time we came back we had the pleasure of interacting with Marilyn and she was so helpful and her service was top notch. She listened to our questions and gave us something more than just an interaction. She owned the experience and advised then and every time we crossed paths if we ever needed anything to let her know. Later in the night we got back late for an event we were greeted by Phillipa she was an absolute doll and continued the grand service we got from Marilyn and the staff there. Even the ladies at breakfast were amazing. This staff is 5 star they deserve a raise and a great job. Thanks the Gourzis’s

Rooms are clean and overall quiet. Breakfast was very good and they do mix things up everyday with a few different selections. I would recommend rooms on the back of the hotel to make sure you avoid the road noise. Staff were all very pleasant.

I had a truly awful experience at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Clermont, FL—especially if you have a disability and rely on service dogs, AVOID this hotel at all costs. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the discrimination. I informed the front desk that I had service dogs and even offered to provide any necessary paperwork, including a service dog license and vaccination records. The front desk staff refused to check any documentation and instead insisted that I fill out a "pet" form—which clearly stated a $75 non-refundable fee per pet. I reminded them that service dogs are not pets and should not be subject to pet fees. The staff member claimed to "understand" but still forced me to sign the pet form, writing on it: "service dogs - fees waived." Despite this, when I checked out the next day, I noticed two unauthorized charges on my bill: one for $141 and another for $166. On top of my fully paid nightly stay, these charges were clearly for the "pets" I did not have—only my legally protected service dogs. When I called the hotel to dispute these fees, I was told that only the assistant manager, Perry, could handle it, and he would be back the next day. The next day came, and no call, no follow-up. I reached out multiple times, only to be repeatedly transferred to Perry’s voicemail. I left several voicemails, and to this day, Perry has NEVER called me back. No resolution, no accountability, nothing. I will be escalating this to Hilton corporate, filing an ADA complaint, and possibly taking legal action. This hotel is not disability-friendly and blatantly ignores federal laws protecting service animals. If you’re traveling with a service dog, stay anywhere else. Hilton should be ashamed to have this location under its brand.

Being from Jersey I’m not a fan of Florida at all personal reasons, but nevertheless there is no possible way that I could deny The spectacular service that I received while staying at Home 2 Suites by Hilton. The staff has been extremely attentive, courteous and on POINT to the needs of their customers. This must be all that southern hospitality I hear about up north. I must say that the housekeeping staff are phenomenal, just phenomenal! Hands down, as long as I have to keep coming down to Florida I will be staying at this hotel. I really like this place and encourage you check it out. Also, as a side note they have an employee (Lynn) who for lack of a batter word restored my faith in humanity. Thank you for your kindness!
