I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Brooksville, and it was, without a doubt, one of the most disgusting hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I rented four rooms, and all four were absolutely filthy. I was shocked by the complete lack of cleanliness and basic hygiene standards in this hotel. Room Conditions: Each room had visible dirt and grime. The carpets were stained and clearly had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The bedsheets had stains and even hair from previous guests, proving they had not been properly washed. The bathrooms were the worst—mold in the shower, dirty toilets, and a foul smell that made it nearly unbearable to use them. One of the sinks even had leftover toothpaste residue and soap scum, showing that housekeeping barely did anything before reassigning the room. Odor & Air Quality: Walking into the rooms, we were immediately hit with a musty, mildew-like odor, as if they had never been properly cleaned or aired out. The air conditioning units smelled like they had mold buildup, making it hard to breathe comfortably. One of the rooms even had a lingering cigarette smell, despite being a non-smoking room. Common Areas: The hallways and lobby were just as bad. The floors were sticky, the walls had visible stains, and the overall atmosphere felt unkempt. Even the elevator buttons were grimy, which made me question how often any part of this hotel gets cleaned. Customer Service: When I brought these issues to the attention of the front desk, the response was indifferent at best. I was told they would “let housekeeping know,” but there was no effort to fix the problems or offer any compensation. The staff seemed completely unconcerned about the health and safety hazards in their hotel. This hotel is in desperate need of a deep cleaning, better management, and staff who actually care about their guests’ experience. If cleanliness and comfort matter to you, I highly recommend staying anywhere else. I regret spending my money here, and I hope others avoid making the same mistake. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property.

I traveled 5 hours to get to your hotel. I usually stay at the Microtel in Spring Hill. We wanted to be near I75, so we booked here. We went to the front desk checked in, and went to our room. We noticed that there weren’t a coffee pot in the room, so we went to the front desk to inquire. The young lady, real nice shared that the coffee is in the breakfast area and is available 24/7. We said that’s great and we left for dinner around 4:00 pm. When we got back to the hotel to relax, we noticed there was someone in the room next to us with there door open a jar. That was just an indication that we might have a noisy stay, as we had that situation before in which kids were running and screaming up and down the hall. We went on and went to sleep about 9:30 pm very tired. Everything was good, but woke up several times with the person in the next room having the TV loud. We finally woke up about 2:45 am, and decided to get a cut of coffee. I went to the breakfast area, and all the canteens of coffee were empty. I went to the front desk, and asked the night woman, was there any coffee? She was sitting there, and stated she cleans everything up and doesn’t make any coffee from 2:00:- 4:00 am. I shared with her I was told from the day person that coffee was available 24/7. She got up very direct and nasty and said “I can make you some coffee right now” like I interrupted her. I went over to her after she started to make the coffee and apologized for my short direct statement of asking for coffee. I thought, was I really asking for too much, after all when people travel, truck drivers, they get a little sleep and get back on the road with some coffee. I shared, we were still very tired and had a bad night with the woman next to us having the TV so loud. As pointed toward the hallway, there was a room back to back with the breakfast area, that I pointed to. She got nasty and said “ that’s not a room”. I walked her over to the hallway and pointed to the room where the woman was. The next statement from her was,” I will let her know to turn down the TV when I see her”. I went back to my room, a few hours later took our showers, which the towel needs to be a little wider, if I was heavier, it would to to use 2 towels, and left the hotel at 7:45 am. What customer service is, its not personal, understand the situation and try to make it a positive. I have Never gotten mad, mean, of short with a person without trying to understand their situation. I will go back to Spring Hill for my future stays. Those associates over there, actually know who I am and greet me each time they see us welcoming us back and to enjoy the stay. Won’t be staying at this location again. Sorry!

My husband and I recently lost everything in our home due to Hurricane Helene and have been staying at this hotel while we try to rebuild. We have been without power for almost two weeks, and there is still no resolution in sight. The hotel and its staff have been nothing short of amazing during this incredibly difficult time. Everyone has been so kind and considerate, truly going above and beyond to help us through this trauma. A special shoutout to the manager, Amish, who has been incredibly accommodating and always greets us with a warm smile. He made sure we had a room ready when we found out that Hurricane Milton, another Category 3 storm, is heading straight for our area. It's such a relief, especially with all the nearby hotels fully booked, to know we have a safe place to stay. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and pet-friendly—everything we could ask for during such a stressful time. We are so grateful to the entire team here. Their kindness has been a true blessing.
