Customer Reviews
Great large campsites. Lots of nice green grass on each site, which is hard to come by now at campgrounds. Unfortunately we went when it rained the whole 3 days. Definitely water everywhere. Owners did an excellent job trying to keep up with the cleaning. It is expensive in the camp store, so make sure to bring your own stuff. But it's a good selection if you do forget something. Close to 401, but traffic noise didn't bother us. Was still quiet and peaceful. We didn't use the pool (we did here from "neighbors" it definitely needs a revamp). Bathrooms were clean. I would recommend this campground (just hope it doesn't rain, lol) A nice park area for the little kids.
We were to spend 2 nights but people cut through our campsites all day and night, we asked to have these men stop cutting through between us and neighbors, they were told, then the kids and wives started cutting through. Very intimidating when people with hoodie r creeping beside trailer at night. No impressed. I wish it had worked out, expensive to lose a. Ights rental on a site
Very bad experience. We knew in advance that the place was old, but we didn't expect there were so many unacceptable things. The two days we went to the campground were very hot and humid, but the air conditioner could only last for 20 minutes each time before it tripped. We had to open the window, and there were a lot of mosquitoes in the RV. After the sofa bed was pulled out, it was like a seesaw, and it was impossible to sleep at all. We had to squeeze three people into one bed. For the sake of the child,we endured it for two days and left early. I really don't recommend it!
Booked a year in advance to come back to the campground. When we arrived this year, the cabin campsite was flooded out. The employees had our campfire pit removed, replaced with a portable campfire and told us we could use the cabin next door’s lawn. The next day it down poured, and they moved us to the rental trailer, but they made it quite clear to us they were doing us a favour by allowing our dog in the trailer and not to have her on the carpet or furniture, which left about 10 square feet for her to be during a camping trip that was raining constantly on. This is exactly why we did not rent the trailer. We have 2 small children and a dog, it’s not much of a relaxing vacation when you must worry about children or dogs mucking up a rental trailer that has cream carpet and furniture. They should have informed us of the flooding in the cabin before we booked, they also didn’t tell us about the pet policy changing and that we weren’t supposed to have our dog. We left the day after arriving, and when my mother picked us up, she stated at the store that we should have been warned it was flooded and then Sabrina came over accusing my mother of attacking her employee verbally. When we messaged the owner directly, he pretty much called us liars saying the camp wasn’t flooded when we arrived. We sent an email back stating if that was true then why did your own employees had the camp pit removed and everything moved to the front of the cabin with a portable campfire pit. He never responded. We are not a wealthy family, and it takes us all year to save for trips, they took our money and didn’t refund it and now our kids are left without any summer trips. Would never recommend this place and have warned others on my large social media platforms about it. If needed I can attach photos of the emails sent and received by the owner when he inevitably responds to this review in the most unprofessional manner and to nip the snarky comments in butt we know you can’t control the weather, or the flooding and we understand your many other campers enjoy your establishment. We did to until we were met with such disrespect. Like come on we were told we could use the pump that was set up when we arrived to pump our own campsite out ….. Are you kidding me? In the future you should probably warn and rebook campers in the cabin when it’s flooded and as for your no refund policy, I find it comical that a trailer in the reviews loses power and is offered a full refund, but we are not. To add: Sabrina is extremely unprofessional and should never be approaching campers with a smoke in hand with her aggressive attitude and to note we would have stayed if they offered even the slightest discount. I get that the trailer seems like an upgrade to you but when my dog is not allowed to move and it’s muddy as heck it’s not quite the vacation, I was going for having to worry about mucking up an expensive rental trailer.
Pretty run down. Former KOA and just really needs someone to get to work cleaning and updating. The pool was recently painted apparently but it is all peeling off and bits floating around in the water. Way too many permanent residents like long term. I’m not against that but they should be kept in a bloc of their own otherwise it looks like a trailer park. Needs some money and effort it could be great. Edit. I’m sorry this was too negative. I was aware of some of the improvements that appeared in progress. In particular the electric post did not appear to have an easily accessible circuit breaker or reset switch on our spot. And while awesome to have the pool heated and inside are a real plus, the paint bits were sticking to our skin. A pressure washing of the roof panels and inside would go a long ways. Totally not against semi-permanent residents (lots of smiles and waves when walking about) but more of an attempt to spruce up and tidy their spot should be given attention to. I also failed to mention how nice and welcoming the staff was when checking in. We will return if in the area because the location is so convenient. And I’ll be looking forward to seeing the improvements.
