Some people just don't like rules as I read other reviews. I hate people but Diane and Mario are one of if not the nicest, most down to earth couples we have ever met. Extremely accommodating to provide a cabin, actually 3 different ones to fill our void. Look no further peeps, this place is amazing. Will definitely enjoy Country Bumpkins and Diane and Mario annually.

If you’re planning a trip to NH, This is the place to go! I’m disappointed reading some of these nonsense “negative” reviews. That’s not the Diane I had the opportunity and pleasure to interact with, she’s super nice, friendly and polite. My first experience was on July 12, 2024 I had reserved a 50 Amp RV spot to charge our electric car while camping we don’t own an RV. When we arrived to the office we learned I made a mistake on the reservation, on papers we were supposed to arrive the 14th, not the 12th and everything in the area was sold out campgrounds and hotels. Diane was so helpful informing us who to call to get another campground to stay while she was also assisting us on her landline phone and cell phone both at the same time helping us to find a place to stay and charge the car. It was scary to be out of town and now you have nowhere to stay, at that point I just wanted a place to spend the night. Forget about the car. Thank God she made a miracle happen and was able to place us on a 30 Amps spot next to the beautiful pond. We were able to charge the car at a local restaurant near by and we had a place to set up our tent and enjoy the weekend. Thank YOU Diane. Our second experience was the weekend of August 16th. This time I also brought my cousin and her two kids for their very first camping experience and they loved it. We stayed at a regular site no electricity, right next to the river. Our third experience was the weekend of October 4th. We came to see the foliage, hike and zip lining. We stayed right next to the rental RV on a 50Amp site to charge our electric car. On Monday 7th. Check out is at 11:00 A.M. they only have 1 hour to make everything ready for the next guest. We had a late start to our morning, while packing up at 11:15 A.M. Mario (Diane’s husband) nicely and politely approached to us to see if everything was ok and if we where in need of help with anything. We ended up leaving at 11:30 A.M. I apologized for the late check out and told them to please feel free to apply any extra charge on my card for the 30 minutes late check out to which they kindly and immediately declined my offer. Now, even after reading a few non positive reviews I feel Very comfortable and safe staying at Country Bumpkins knowing these people are really committed not to allow just anyone on their property without previously and properly identifying themselves at the office. That tells me that while I am away doing any activity all day long,  my belongings that I leave at the campground are safe. I am a freak about hygiene! I don’t know how they do it, but no matter what time you walk into the bathrooms they’re ALWAYS clean. Definitely the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a campground. They have a designated kitchen sink with free dish soap and free clean sponges 24/7 for you to use at anytime of your convenience. I saw a comment of someone saying Diane being “micromanaging the bathroom water usage” honestly I doubt that. These people don’t skimp on water usage I personally had mentioned to my boyfriend - I don’t know how come they haven’t installed low flow / low pressure shower heads to save on water consumption especially hot water - I am as eco conscious as possible, like to use ecofriendly products and be cautious on water usage. One review mentioned that Diane or Mario were constantly walking around the property with their beautiful Black dog, I love that. It feels good to see a person of authority patrolling the property making sure everything is ok and no one is doing anything they shouldn’t be doing. Something else I love about this place is everyone is very respectful about the quiet hours rule.

The people were very nice, the place is clean and being on the river was really nice. Now the bad, the sites are tiny, very little trees and 0 privacy. It's basically an open field with a river on the one side and a tiny pond in the middle little sliver sites barely wide enough for a car. So the 1 car rule quickly make sense once you arrive. I'd stay again if there was no better options, I just prefer more wooded and trees to hang hammocks. Only trees were over the fire pit directly next to the river. Bathrooms were clean. Location is also very good for access to Lincoln and the white mountains. There is trout in the river, from little tiny ones up to foot long rainbows so that's a selling point if you fly fish.

This is a story about a woman named Diane. Diane and her husband Mario bought this business from a lovely family a few years ago. The previous owners, Bill, Amy, and Eric were wonderful. This location is beautiful, and the property is amazing. It is located next door to Clark's and very close to the water park. Diane is controlling, aggressive, rude, and she treats guests like they are an inconvenience for her. We rented trailer 1, which we have done several times over the last few years. This time, there was an "upgraded trailer." This trailer was 10 feet smaller than the old one. The reason they bought this trailer is because it has a removable control panel. This is where the story gets good. Diane keeps the control panel with her and watches it so she can see when you use water. She comes running down the hill and drains it each time while loudly complaining about you. Why doesn't she keep the valve open as suggested by the manufacturer? That is the million dollar question. Diane likes rules. There are many of them. These rules are posted on the website and she has you sign a paper with them listed as well. If you break one of her many rules, she will come charging at you waving her arms and screaming. I wish this was an exaggeration. I do agree that if someone breaks a rule they should be spoken to. But maybe she could do this in a way that's respectful. My daughter (who has special needs) had made a friend in the campground and had been playing with her for a few days. On the day the friend left, She came to the camper to say goodbye. I was in the shower and I had no idea what was happening. The next thing I know, Diane is screaming outside the trailer. "You have a visitor?!" Over and over and over. I let her know that the small child and paying guest was at the door for 30 seconds because I was in the shower. (Which I'm sure she knew because I don't doubt she was watching the water usage.) I had asked them to come fix the clogged toilet right after that which is a common problem in campers, and she then proceeded to blame the child for the clogged toilet. This made no sense as this had started the night before. The child had also just come to the door and quickly left. Also, if you look at the reviews. She responds promptly to all negative reviews as her husband Mario. It's not him. It's her.. ( there are many so she's busy) However, I made 2 formal complaints against her. One with the BBB (an A rating she inherited) and another with the state attorney general. Interestingly enough, she never responded to either of those. She likes the public forum because she can continue to bully people and blame them for why they are leaving a bad review. In one response Diane said "when a guest is caught breaking a rule, it often results in a negative review." Diane- it's not that the person broke a rule. People are ok with being corrected. It's the way you go about attempting to correct them. You scream at people. If you approach people with respect and ask them to kindly not do whatever it is, they will apologize. I look forward to your completely ridiculous response. Maybe you could take the time to respond to the BBB to try and fight for your rating rather than worrying about a yelp review. Let's see what happens Diane needs at the very least some hospitality training. Diene- please sell this business. Life is too short to be doing something you clearly hate. **** she had my yelp review taken down for hate speech. She hates it when you tell the truth.
