Customer Reviews
First let me start by saying the temperature in the room was 80 degrees and the thermostat was regulated, so no way to get it cooler. Complained to front desk and no help from them! Switched my room the next day and saw roaches in the hall next to my room and then one in my bathroom. The floor in the hotel room is dirty because my socks are black, and the water from the sink and shower is coming out brownish/black. I started itching in the middle of the night and something was biting me. Breakfast every morning is a joke. Was told they didn’t get a delivery this week, but what about last week? The whole dining area is dirty! People are running up and down the halls at 2 am, banging on walls and jumping coming from above. The whole hotel is filthy. I’m reporting them to the Health Department today!!! Don’t tell me you’re sorry, do something about this 3 star hotel. Should be a motel as far as I’m concerned. I would have gone to another hotel but due to availability because of the previous hurricane, and my husband’s job, we cannot move hotels for a few days. I’m reporting this to IHG hotels if it even matters. I am urging those that need a place to stay, don’t reserve a room here unless you’re desperate.
Giving this place one star because they do not know how to treat their diamond elite members I frequently travel for business and have worked diligently to achieve IHG Diamond Elite status, which has always been a source of pride for me. Unfortunately, my recent stay at this hotel has left me feeling quite underappreciated as a loyal member. First, I encountered issues with my reservation upon arrival, which resulted in a 30-minute wait in the hallway. While the staff was friendly, language barriers created additional challenges, and I was initially given no room key, further complicating my check-in process. Throughout my stay, I noticed a lack of recognition for my Diamond Elite status. For instance, I did not receive a room upgrade, and I experienced repeated phone calls on my checkout day despite not being due to leave until noon. Additionally, I observed preferential treatment towards lower-tier members, which was disheartening. Breakfast service also fell short of expectations, as the portions were inadequate, requiring multiple plates to fulfill a basic meal. Overall, the staff appeared disorganized, and on one occasion, my extended stay was met with confusion regarding my reservation. As a Diamond Elite member, I expected more acknowledgment of my loyalty and privileges, such as a later checkout option, which was not honored here. I hope my feedback can help improve the experience for future guests, as I look forward to a more satisfactory stay elsewhere in the future.
Not sure it’s even worth reviewing anymore. I haven’t had a good experience at a hotel in so long…. the simple things business travelers prefer. Hot coffee 24 hours like advertised. I’d accept any coffee at this point. A front desk clerk that has learned English in a classroom not on tv and knows how to do things like look up reward points or I don’t know check you into the right room. Any of those things by them self would work. Like many industries hotels have plummeted in customer experience. This one is a perfect example. Do better.
I prefer a bathtub and have been disappointed on too many occasions not to have a room with a bath tub as I need to relax after a 12 hour shift on the job. I have complained of roaches and ants in this hotel and have yet to experience extermination protocols. There is no heat in the rooms and even when AC is on off the air continues to come on. I will not be staying at this hotel until these issues are handled. What a disappointment as the location is convenient to my job location. I am an IHG Gold Member! It should be noted that front desk and breakfast personnel are exceptional however housekeeping personnel that do not speak English are not literate to guest needs.
RUN away from this location. Stayed in 20+ holiday inn express’ all over Florida, this might be the worst one out of them all. You better hope that no one is walking on the floor above you because you can hear EVERY FOOTSTEP.. ac units in disrepair, barely working (had 2 rooms and both ac units were like that) and breakfast is not even made when it’s supposed to be. (Multiple days breakfast was not ready when I came to eat which was after the time it starts) Sketchy guy that is in the back parking lot of the hotel every single night the past 3 nights we’ve stayed here that just walks around the parking lot back and forth making people uncomfortable. Heavy equipment unnecessarily parked in the pool area so the pool isn’t even open. Only one elevator which doesn’t work well in a hotel that really needs 2. Also for some reason the water here burns your eyes and irritates your sinuses when you shower, very uncomfortable, it’ll have you sneezing uncontrollably and nose running. One more thing, the last night of our stay there was 8+ different campers that stayed overnight in the back parking lot, multiple of them had generators or their engines running. I know one thing, I will never stay at this location again.. Sad example of corporate greed, they know it doesn’t matter how they run this place, it’ll get booked because of the location. Edit: staff reached out and let me know the hotel was being remodeled, and I was likely staying in a room that had yet to be redone. They also let me know Cracker Barrel also owns the parking lot behind the hotel so that explains all the campers.
